Cameron did say that - he went on to say it would be a disaster and we shouldn't do it. Boris Johnson - King of the leavers - said the exact opposite, that it would be great and we would have an easy deal with the exact same benefits. Looks like Boris and his arsehole leave campaigners were full of shit. But yeah you keep flagging up what Cameron said.
Cameron voted remain, hardly surprising.
I think the very recent flapping and raging is, as yet, a wee bit premature.
Negotiations are ongoing, nothing is decided, etc; etc;
Flap away one way or the other when it is.
Not directed at yourself, just to all flappers in general.

Belfast Telegraph take on the matter...

The British govt isn't changing its Brexit plan today to help NI, but to suit its own selfish, strategic interests. A source tells me: "Dominic Cummings doesn't give a hoot about NI. It could fall into the Irish Sea & he wouldn't care."

Well Dominic's going to find out he should have done a bit more homework when the US refuses to do business with us as a result of us fucking up the GFA. He really is a massive twat.

An unelected bereaucrat dictating government policy. Isn't this why Brexit was voted for to stop this kind of interference?

Welsh Shadow Tory Minister resigns...as much as we are having fun taking the piss, the Brexit angle is secondary to the damage this Internal Market Bill will do to our Union. This is shaping up to be more of an internal State crisis than an external one.

Nah - the WA was the EU's - slavishly accepted by May/Robbins

Johnson just happened to be in the chair when it was time to decide whether to either renegotiate it or move on and then dump it

Johnson is a clown with no understanding of detail - thankfully he seems to have people around/behind him that do understand detail and have nerve and grit

It won't be him that does the detail of any future agreements

Given the size of the hole May/Robbins dug for the EU - I am personally delighted to see the developing events.

They did well to initially dump the unfettered backstop - but May's WA still was loaded with EU controls over the UK.

I have been saying for months that we need to fully dump the PD and then try and limit the impacts of the WA through new legislation- but the level of steel and callousness being demonstrated is beyond my wildest hopes and expectations.

This must be Cummings behind the scenes - Johnson is not bright enough
Cummings? Who elected him?

Who said the following

"The first duty of the government is to uphold the law, if it tries to bob and weave and duck around that duty when it is inconvenient, if government does that, then so will the governed, and then nothing is safe, not home, not liberty, not life itself"

And

"Britain does not break treaties. It would be bad for Britain, bad for our relations with the rest of the world and bad for any future treaty on trade we may need to make"

Its crazy - I dont see what the gain is. We all know that post transition trade will be a shit show, it will be shit whatever, there will still be a border in the irish sea - there will still be lorry parks in Kent and elsewhere. What are they trying to get out of this. I see zero upside - what am i missing?

Hmmm

I know that it was a few years ago - but Cameron was the PM and head of Remain - he was the most authoritative person in the land and he spent £9m of our money to reaffirm those messages

Forgive me for thinking his stated views were relevant

We're absolutely fucked with these criminals in charge. Big round applause to all the Brexit voters. Driven us off a cliff. Staggering levels of self destruction just for pride's sake. I'm genuinely sad about what we're getting into and its becoming harder to picture a happy future in this country. Add the pandemic on this and it's going to be a very bleak few years for millions.
