TV Series

I've just found this online dropped by HBO themselves.

My VPN is on, mind, so I hope you can see this too.

The first episode of 'Raised by Wolves':

I'm very interested in this, love a bit of Ridley Scott me. I'll just have to bide my time until it comes onto Prime or something like that

I should love Ridley Scott, but it's been an extremely long time since he completed an idea from start to finish.

I find the majority of his work great premises lost along the way.

Agree with that. Thought he did a great job with The Martian though (and I loved the book so was a bit wary when they made the film, got it spot on for me though)

To be honest I stopped at Gladiator, haven't seen the Martian yet

Ha! After all this time I still haven't made my mind up about "The Martian"! In fact, I remember thinking 'I'll let it settle before I make a judgement' and here we are, years later!!

LOL!!

Just shows it never made a lasting impression on me and that's quite important in my mind!

Best thing, in my opinion, about "Gladiator" was Joaquin Phoenix by a country mile!

Had you read the book or just seen the film? As I get it, some of it will be down to me already being invested in the characters.

Its not really anything more than an enjoyable film though, nor trying to be.

Agreed, his snarling and lascivious character was only matched by the actual tigers! Which reminds me, still haven't seen the Joker.

Phoenix happens to be my favourite actor, right now, and I think it's because he has a dark side that he quite likes and it shows on film. He's not afraid to let it out. He wears it very well, like a familiar coat.

With that said, "Joker" is worth seeing just for that understanding!!

I've watched 3 episodes of "once upon a time in Iraq". The Fallujah episode (especially) was a harrowing watch. Absolute tragedy all round for the Iraqi civilians, the Australian Photographer and that young American Marine who lost his life securing that Mosque tower.

I've not found much to watch recently, and my only real source of excitement on the horizon is the next season of The Expanse. Then I bumped into this cheeky thing last night. Had no idea this was even on the cards. I am 3 episodes through and its pulled me in.

Couple of episodes into Six Feet Under, after it was highly recomended here a few weeks ago. Qwerky. Obviously similar vibes to American Beauty. Think Im going to enjoy it.
