We lost to Wolves and Norwich early in the season - and went out of the CL at the end of the season to a similar defeat - did Pep learn anything during the season ?
 
Pep needs to make a decision quickly here, Messi not coming, will Pep still renew?
If not he will have answer questions and all his players too that his contract ending in 10,9,8,7 ... months.
Could create issues internally too in the squad.

Prob get pelters for this but I think we should see how this season goes before thinking about offering pep an extension. If we have a similar season to last year does he really deserve one? That would be 2 unbelievable years and 3 ok ones (baring in mind the squad he has at his disposal), I also feel pep would be a bit embarrassed to sign an extension on the back of last season, he doesn’t want to feel like he has not earned it. 5 seasons in charge is a lot in this modern era usually players stop playing for their coach around this period. ( see spurs under poch)

Whatever happens I trust and know the club will get it right.

So second and a trophy sing good enough for you?!

We have the best manager ever and if win one trophy and finish top four we should say Nahh pep we don’t want you.

It’s not giving stock it’s looking at all the facts and fans thinking like this it baffles me.

With the squad we have no I don’t believe a league cup and finishing so far behind Liverpool is good enough Not to mention losing to Arsenal and lyon. I would also wager pep and Khaldoon believe that as well.

I also didn’t say we should sack him now, I simply feel we should wait to see how this season goes before we offer anything.
 
So cutting to the chase, what is happening on this?
Some weeks ago it was stated there’s too be an announcement in days!!!!

i think he will stay for another 2 years or so he doesn't seem to stay in one place longterm though.
 
In Barcelona they say Pep will announce his decision about staying or leaving now in January instead of December.
 


surly this isn’t a good thing for city, Laporta (like Txiki) was the man who give Pep his shot at being Barcelona manager.
Could he prise Pep back to Barcelona? With Doing that he will will also keep Messi at the club. If he can promise that then surly he will be elected the next Barcelona president.
 
He can promise whatever he wants. Bartomeu promised a lot as well. Barcas issues run a lot deeper than just replacing the president.

i don't think pep looks back and is a new project manager with new clubs

but i think in his spell at city it has made him more mellow and being here 4 years and counting you never know
pep going back to barcelona ?? well if the club is in the mess like everybody is thinking maybe pep could be pressured to rebuild it
 
Hope he stays but i think he'll go after this season IF and i did say if ,we have another poor season
 
I hope we find out before the Wolves game, if not this will be number one question for him in the presser for Wolves and many other games later on...

And his answer, if he hasn't signed an extension by then, will be simple. Ask again at the end of the season.

Smells very similar to his time at Bayern and the things he said back then. For my money he's already decided to go when his deal expires.
