Wolves (A) Post-Match Thread

Great win, 3 points better off than last season. Give the players confidence and start to get them match fit for the long season ahead.

People do understand that was our 1st competitive game right?

An overall very good performance, the 2nd half was understandably not as good due to the high intensity pressing in the 1st.

Some of you need to chill out a bit ffs.

Great win.
KDB was magnificent, Foden had a great game and so did Jesus.
I thought two DMs in the midfield with Dinho and Rodri worked ok for once, first half anyway.
I feel the defensive issues we had are still there so I hope they’re addressed.

Fernandino is past it.
Stones is a terrible defender.
We don't have enough forwards.
Two defensive midfielders means we're too slow with the ball.
Ake isn't a first team player.
Our match fitness is too far behind everyone else.
We've not signed enough players.
Jesus doesn't score enough.

Then, Timmy woke up and pulled his head out from his arse with both hands. "Maybe it's going to be a good day after all!" he said, remembering he was lucky enough to bag both Michaela Strachan and Jenny Powell last night.

Not perfect, but a timely reminder that we aren't all that bad as we are.

Had a couple of iffy spells in the second half but for a first game with no preseason and players missing that was very good; especially when every Blue I saw make a prediction had us getting done.

We do need to do some more transfer business, we all know a CB is required; a left back with pace would be a good option and maybe a midfielder to share the workload over the course.

I think it was only natural that we tired that 2nd half, after the effort in the first we put in. Best I've seen us play for a while that first half, everybody was on it, passing excellent movement superb. Motm for me was Ake think he'll be top drawer for us, might not need another centre half after all. City proved me and many others wrong tonight.
