He just isn’t a team player, and isn’t going to miraculously start passing to players in a better position rather than shooting.
 
Luxury player like kinky was , all well and good when wining 4-0 and scoring the odd screamer but not what you need in a battle and I know we have more 4-0’s them battles but the battles we lose 8/10
 
After Otamendi he's the one I least like watching in a City shirt. I'm not making him a scapegoat, the loss isn't on him, but he's just incredibly frustrating. I get that he's talented and fun to watch for neutrals but I've been sick of his personal glory bullshit since day one.
 
Had a poor game today but sterling and Foden were worse. He doesn’t fit in the side at all but I don’t think he necessarily needs to, it’s not a bad thing to have a bit of a wildcard in the squad the problem is we don’t have alternatives so he plays in games where his qualities aren’t needed and he doesn’t know how to play any differently.

He’d be a great alternative option if we had two pacy wingers playing on the wing with their strongest foot on the outside like the same and sterling partnership of several season back. the issue is we have two inverted wingers and Torres who currently looks completely lost and has no idea where he is playing.

You’re right he’s incredibly frustrating but bloody hell you shouldn’t label him alongside half that lot. He produces moments of pure magic like today and then decides to not playa simple pass to Foden at 1-1 which may have cost us the game. In his defence though half our current squad just play square passes on repeat.
 
2 mins before leicester score mahrez took a shot instead of playing in Foden who was clear in the box

Needs to start taking the better option instead of going for glory all the time.

I thought that was trained out of him but clearly not. He scored after 5 minutes, it should have been his game but no. We didn’t see him until the second half when he should have passed to Foden but didn’t

Simply not consistent enough. Mane, Salah, Firmino. Always available for selection and generally do the business

He’s a fair weather player. Doesn’t do enough

1 shot for the goal and 1 corner for the assist. That was the grand sum of Mahrez positive contribution today, positively influencing the game for approx 5 seconds, in a sport where each game lasts for over 1.5 hours. If he did that most weeks and finished the season with 30 goals and 20 assists, I would say fair enough. He won’t though, he will likely limp into double figures for both, some on here will say what a great return that is. Others, like me will be wondering what has he done for the remaining 99.9% of games.

You watch, Torres will just get odd minutes and lose all confidence to drift past players and end up trying too hard... As others have coined FFS Mahrez.

He needs to go not a team player & never puts a shift in. He reminds me of a poor Nasri. We play with a man down when he plays
 
Odd thing is Sane continually incurred Guardiola’s wrath for failing in his defensive duties, yet Mahrez seemingly gets a free pass. His tracking back at their opener made Kolarov look like Bolt, and when he gave the ball away in the lead up to another goal, he barely raised a gloved finger to recover it. Lovely chap, mind, and rarely sulks...
