This must be a record - fans chucking the towel in on the title race 2 and a bit games into the season. No doubt Liverpool are a very good side but this is no ordinary season. With Covid around, it could turn out to be a lottery. They’ve got all their best players fit for now, whereas we’ve got many of ours missing. Let’s see if they can keep them all fit with such a relentless schedule.

Which starting 11 player is injured for us currently? To answer the question for you, it is two. Aguero and Laporte. Our best 9 players lost a game pathetically against Leicester and some fans are clutching at straws with “injuries”. This Liverpool game is another reality check about mentality that we are severely lacking.

Leeds. Incorrect early penalty awarded. Leeds penalty turned down by same ref who gave 3 against us. Predictable late penalty winner.
Chelsea. Yellow card for Chelsea upgraded to red by ref after monitor review. Correct decision but shows once again inconsistency As why did the ref not review the Mane assault today.
Arsenal. Clear red card, leant into him with fist clenched. Laughable yellow and why not reviewed.

3 games, clear decisions in favour of 1 team. Same as last 2 seasons

Aguero, Jesus, Laporte and Bernardo for starters. Cancelo at left back is useful. We have added two extra players who need time to bed in and we just signed a much needed extra defender. On top of that we had no preseason.
