You watch Mane on the left and then watch Sterling and Mane is absolutely miles better. Sure someone will point to Sterling’s goals record which he tops up wonderfully when we sash shite teams but it’s a very long time since Sterling took a game by the scruff of the neck like Mane has here.
Sometimes Mané is very, very quiet though. Even when when Sterling is shite he usually pops up with something.. mainly because his movement is his key attribute. Mane has very good movement but Sterling’s is a level above his and everyone else in the league and possibly Europe for that matter. It’s the thing that makes Sterling elite.
Sterling is the player that the old phrase about missing chances is ok as long as you’re their to miss them is written for.
