Wow look at the replies...all bayern fans happy to get rid of him.

They do have davies already tbf

The Bayern fans have been poisoned by Bayern's higher ups constantly leaking negative things about Alaba.

He spoke out about it a couple of weeks ago, saying the numbers they were putting out into the press were completely made up and he was hurt that they were trying to turn the fans against him.

It's pretty sad because he was one of their very best players in the treble winning season, only behind Lewandowski and Muller, maybe Kimmich.

He is world class, and at both LB and CB, and given his ability to play in midfield he is the prototypical Pep fullback playing multiple positions in one game. Buying him after Aké would be a bit weird though, and Bayern are really struggling for numbers.

And while Alaba has said the €400k/week number being put in the press by Bayern is a lie, he would not be cheap.

And the hierarchy at BM seem such nice guys !

Rayan Ait-Nouri, the left back from Angers we were supposedly looking at is now going to Seville and Monchi. If Monchi rates him he must be good.
Let's wait for 12 more months and we can always go back and pay 60 million to Seville. So why buy him now :(
Sevilla are absolutely outstanding spotting new talent. No wonder they dominate Europa League and do well in La Liga generally.

I have seen ur other post saying we don't need a lb, a mid instead...i kinda agree...but Alaba is still only 28 , transfer fee should be relatively cheap....so I would be happy to have him and more importantly his UCL winning experience here.

Alaba's agent is nightmare material and we should stay away from Pini Zahavi
I feel like that’s said about a lot of agents. At the end of the day their clients interest is all they care about and it’s their job so fair play to them. We need to stop shooting ourselves in the foot by being stubborn or refusing to work with people again

Article in athletic last week said Alaba offered 290k p week by Bayern and he wants £400k

We won't be having him at anywhere near either of those prices

I don't think its a case of just spotting talent, they have a very good coaching setup and have a good platform for players to learn and be shown.

Ait-Nouri is not some unknown, but he can go to La Liga and play for a top 7 club with little to no pressure and will get chances in the CL/Europa to prove his talent.

If he joined City there would be so much pressure and expectation he could crumble and never recover.

1000% spot on. The club is in a proper slump and sadly it's on Pep to bring it back. He's got every reason to feel how he does of course, but sadly it simply doesn't help at all. I hate to say it, but look at the bullishness of Klopp last night, chasing down Roy Keane. There's such a confidence around the club and of course that will rub off onto the players. We're just feeling sorry for ourselves, and I think it was pretty obvious in Rodri's comments too the other day.

Motivating the players and the wider club is part of the coaches job. Pep cant just be a tactical genius - he needs to be a leader.

Bayern wouldn't sell to us as well, non starter this one.

Why not? Only yesterday i read he is ready to leave on a free next season....we did business for sane. So while not the best of relations between clubs.. They will definitely do business

Am I the only one who thinks Alaba is a bit of a dick? I never liked him. And it seems he’s squeezing Bayern for money. Would never go near him. Tagliafico for me.
