Pep's contract situation | 2 year extension confirmed! (pg1817)

Fair enough. Lots of caveats there though pal.

Pep post-match sounded different, upbeat, like the pressure’s off. Interesting. Could be due to his love affair with their manager of course. Or it could be something else.

Caveats? or perspective?

It's the complete arrogance of the that is Pep that irks me most. Always fucking reactive, rather than being proactive. His inability to change the play when it needs changing. How the fuck is he still considering the likes of Sterling a striker? Or Marez a good winger. Or any of the other players he's too arrogant to leave off the team sheet simply because they are shit! We have a team full of slow players. Whilst every other team on the PL have invested in tall, talented, fast on the break, work horses. Every Manager of every team we play know how to play us. Pep refuses to adapt.

I will say this and then shut up Marcello Gallardo River Plate Boss is the next boss of Barca unless we step in .....Think on !

Pep needs to come out and say if he is renewing or not. The players are confused and the team is all over the place. If he is not renewing, it's better for him to leave now otherwise it will directly affect our players which has already started doing. No idea why he has left us you there hung and dry.

So who exactly do you think should be replacing all these 'slow players'? Come on let's have your wisdom!

I think we should seriously look at Marcello Gallardo before Barca snap him up after Koeman gets the boot

I'd love him to stay, but saying he'd see whether he was worth another contract just leaves things up in the air.
Picking the wrong players or system could be construed as Pep making sure he's not worth another deal.

I was told there was due to be announcements in Feb 2020 that he signed a new 3 year deal.

What has changed, something has ?

I personally think that since losing his mum and football being condensed so frequently he has lost interest and the team shows that.

Will he extend... does he deserve to keep his job more like, since the departure of Vinny and shortly followed by Arteta we've been lost. His attitude to dropping 2 points at Leeds really wound me up to be honest

Considering what we've won and the entertaining football we play[even if we lose] i find it staggering the amount of abuse Pep is getting. OK he gets thing wrong occasionally, but lets not be greedy about winning things [remember 35 years]? ........ His era is no doubt ending, and i am sure this is his last season .One last go for the Champions League i reckon and then fuck off. Frankly looking at lots of comments on here i would'nt blame him.

Nobody should ever question a City manager again because we were once in Division 2 and also went months without scoring at home in the league. Yawn

This view only holds water if we won what we have the last few years with the same team that played against York, away. We are in a wholly different galaxy to that now and we are underperforming in it
