Pep's 5th season, and LB is still an issue. Pep has done more than enough getting a season each out of Delph and Zinchenko - winning the league both years - he should be given a LB.
The LB issue is made even worse because all of our wide forwards are rightfooted meaning our left side width is solely down to LB and Mendy is the only viable option high up the pitch. Sane masked half of the LB issue

Wasteful forwards yet we have some of the best in the world

Rodri is a very talented footballer

He did not look that slow defensively the other day and I have never thought he has looked slow attacking he draws people and then skips past them he has long legs and a good touch

He was not brought in to be like Fernandinho but like Basquets Plenty of slow midfielders make it

Plenty of teams play with two not very creative moves midfielder and Rodri and Fernandinho can pass very well and create stuff that way without having to run past people or play more advanced

Would we be worried if Jesus and Augero where fit ?

People are moving the goal posts we wanted a CB a LCB a Sane replacement we got them all and I think better than expected targets and possibly a left back but I think Cancelo Ake Zinchenko can do a job there won the title with Zenchenko and according to most on here he is the worst of the lot tho we have not seen Ake or Cancelo much in that position for us or anyone else Mendy looks nearly himself again in attack just needs to sort himself out defensively

Now everyone wants a left back a midfielder and a strike did anyone think we would get 6 players

Is Thiago quick ? Or the left back Seeing as everyone seems jealous of Liverpools business and want a quick players ?

You are allowed to acknowledge that Aguero has been a legend here but is now the wrong side of his peak, his level has dropped and that injuries, which have always been a problem for him are only likely to get worse. If you think the Aguero you saw on the pitch last season was good enough to be the main attacking threat over the course of a season in a team that wants to win the league and the champions league then you can’t be helped. He should have a supporting role this season like Silva had last season. He’s still capable of 15-20 goals in all competitions if used correctly. But if you think he’s going to score 30 in a season again for us then it’s just delusional.

and Jesus needs 4/5 easy chances to score 1.

You say Jesus isn’t good enough yet when he plays we often play better, Madrid twice, Wolves. The centre forward that replaces Aguero doesn’t have to replace Aguero’s goals, he needs to help the team replace Aguero’s goal. IMO Jesus does that.

I'm with you, in that Jesus provides a different and probably just as productive, alternative to Aguero, but I think we still need an Aguero replacement because we'll likely only get another 2 seasons from him and he'll play increasingly less and be a little less mobile when he does.
I remember the days when we commonly had 4 strikers. Aguero, Dzeko, Negredo & Bony is one recent example - 2015? I think? Mad to only have 2 strikers IMO we should have Aguero, Jesus, Another Senior Striker & Delap.

We had 4 strikers for 2 positions as we played 4-4-2. So 2 strikers per position. We now play just 1 up front and have 2 strikers. So again 2 strikers per position.

A manager who's won this much silverware in such short time will likely not see what's wrong with his system. I don't think him getting that assistant has been of any help either. Most top managers in fact refuse to adapt, they try and instill their style, insist on it and make it work. That's how it goes, and it went well for 2 seasons. If it doesn't go well this time, he will go, just hope we are prepared for the aftermath and who we want in if that happens.
 
Would actually argue we are in this 'mess' since last season because of Pep's willingness to adapt. It's never worked before, and it won't work now. Pep has the reputation he does because he was insistent and stubborn on making his system work in 3 different leagues winning it by record margins. The moment he started to adapt by accommodating the system to player available/capability, that's where our downfall began (amongst other factors like team press and poor defending etc).

Played well against Madrid you’re right but also played on the left, was his graft that excelled which I can’t knock him for at all I love that about him, also think he holds a bell well, but he’s simply not a good enough centre forward to be used as a reason why we don’t need a centre forward, forever caught offside and rarely gets across a centre half when a balls played in, both due to his lack of positional awareness, which any decent striker needs, scores 1 out of 5 chances. Not saying he’s a bad player, just a bad centre forward
