I agree, that's why there's loads of weird results and strange performances happening all round. Football must seem so odd to them with no noise in the stadium, it has to have an effect.

We must be the unfittest team in the league. The press is gone. This is the main reason why we are struggling. All of the teams that have caused us problems this year have out run and out fought us.

We have had no pre-season - we're not yet up to normal fitness. Leicester did not take us apart - three very soft pens. Not a tactical masterclass. Leicester lost 3 - 0 at home to West Ham today - they're not some team that have overtaken us.

That’s my point. We are beating ourselves. I get the no pre season argument but it happened a lot last year. I don’t recognise this team from the team centurions or the formidables. No press and fitness is questionable.

The lack of fitness is leading to a lack of press. It does not matter who we play. Leicester, wolves, Leeds. Unless this problem is rectified and the correct players are chosen we won’t be winning anything this year.
 
City dominate for 30 mins but can score no more than 1. City slowly fade and defensive errors cost points. Rags lose 1-6.
Same old, same old.

This will be a crazy season with loads of freak results, injuries, etc. It is a wide open race like the season Leicester won it. Arsenal and Everton could be outside bets for the title or even Spurs based on today. i don't think Liverpool are going to stroll it and City will be in the mix.

Sad but that might give us some confidence to kick on now, much like the Liverpool result did after our loss to Newcastle 2 years back.
 
If all the pretend City fans and moaners fucked off this thread would be about 10 pages long. Seen plenty of weird results already this season probably more than the whole of last season. We have had no pre season and three weeks less rest than most. Add to that all the injuries and it’s no wonder the season has started as it has. Still would rather put money on us winning a trophy than Villa, Everton etc. Looks like nobody will run away with it this season
 
After 2 top title winning seasons,we have a inconsistent one where we finish 2 and have a wobbly start with absolutely no preseason.Suddenly people calling our style and pep outdated and how we can not have a highline and should play more counter attacking like liverpool.Even more ridiculously the advocacy among some more prominent posters here for playing more like mancini and pellegrini 's teams.

we are still eight points, or three wins, behind the league leaders.

You can bet that Liverpool, after their thrashing tonight, will win their next game ... and if we are being serious about the title then we have to win ours too!
