Terrible business but then we did just decide to let Garcia leave on a free rather than cash in so I'm far from shocked.
 
We put our foot down on Garcia only to allow ourselves to be shafted by Fulham. There is just no defending this. It’s a derisory fee, even for a player with a year left on his contract. Taken in context with our other sales, heads should roll!

Not really. Let’s say he plays well, Fulham go down and other clubs look to pick him up, looking at the fee for Godfrey who just had a similar situation they’ll likely be looking at around a £20 million fee, you can even push it to a hefty £30 million if he’s somehow outstanding that still at a seemingly beyond realistic figure nets us £6 million on top of the “up to” 2 we get it’s still a pittance. We sign kids for Girona for more than that.
 
Checked Fulham forum, they think they made an absolute steal given the fee, and he will be the next Brede Hangeland. :)

Yes but we're discussing the figure. There's no good in this deal. If Tosin turns out to be great and gets sold for 25m, we're walking about away with a total of 6.5m for a player valued 4x that price.
 
What a disgrace. Tosin has not had a chance, and now this. A pathetic derisory fee, the sell on clause is not going to maje much, and with no buy back option. Horrific. Good luck Tosin.
 
This just reminds of Jason Denayer all over again.

Any defender in our academy would look at this and think "Alright, I need to leave next year"

If you look good on loans but still won't get a chance, just leave to another club and start there, no point doing the loan carousel.

Almost makes me think that Eric got a chance just because he and Pep are spanish.

It's a shame because the EDS currently has 3 absolute top CB prospects as well, but no chance for them.

Well, to be fair. The lad finally managed a good season in Championship at 22 years of age. Football is ruthless these days, you either are top level or not. We bought in players under Guardiola that have value and quality which he doesn't match, and he was never going to suddenly become the player we'd hoped. As terrible as this deal is, I'm happy it's just not another loan and he's moved on to play within Prem and prove himself. He was never going to make it at City.
