Well said mate.
Their football coverage needs binning. I have their sport app and have deliberately set it to give me the sports news I want from my other favourite sports but have left football off my favourites list for the reasons you’ve said. I can get my City news elsewhere.

He sounds like an utter ****, he’ll fit right in

I'm just listening to 606 and they are talking up Jordan Henderson being a great player, the first two callers ( a utd and Everton fan) have both said they wouldn't have him in their teams, cue outrage from Chris Sutton and Robbie Savage.

He forgot to print that its only two thirds of what his beloved rags were paying Sanchez..........to not play, or maybe like most rags he just snipes at others while thinking his shithouse club can do no wrong. He will fit right in at the bbc, the broadcasting equivalent of man utd.

They‘d be right, who made the decision at the bbc to have two thicko’s on,in a Saturday evening, then again surprised they weren’t talking about pogba, but then it is 50/50 rags or red scousers these conversations are usually about ..

It says it all that a supposedly impartial BBC Sports journalist is happy to brand his football allegiance on his Twitter profile. Imagine if one of their political reporters carried a logo for the Labour party on his profile. The online sports unit has zero credibility which is a shame because there are some decent and skilled people working for it who are genuine professionals and they are let down by some of their colleagues.

Send it to the DG.

He’s on record saying allegiances or bias have no place on their social media.

I have just read what was purported as a serious article on the Mail web site - I know I shouldn't go there but it is an international break !!

Any way the article was about the Premier League having the world's best three midfielders. One has just signed for Liverpool from Bayern by the way. The other was the show pony at the swamp. I thought the guy couldn't really be serious about ranking Pogba alongside Kevin - and then I saw the statistics and concluded that the author, Sam Blitz, is a total moron.

Games played Kevin - 38 Pogba - 19
Goals Kevin - 14 Pogba - 1
Assists Kevin - 21 Pogba - 3
Minutes/goal Kevin - 87.7 Pogba - 356.8

If those stats make Pogba one the top three midfielders, and Kevin stands head and shoulders above his nearest comparative player then the rest of the midfielders must be absolutely useless.

It's obviously the rag PR department still trying to maintain his sell on value at £150 million.

He's a much better player when he doesn't play.

The gall of a RAG to use the BBC as a platform to throw eyes at the current players POTY and European midfielder of the year and the speculation on his contract negotiation in wages.

When his own supported team pays out the highest wages in the world for a GK in David De Kepa.

When fatty Shaw is the highest paid fullback in Europe.

When Dr Rashford is the highest paid English striker in the world. Yep, higher than Kane, and he can't even function as a leading No.9 preferring to only play out from the left doing nutmegs, running the ball out of play and generally mucking up simple passes in the build up to an attack.

It is a good cause but he is clearly having greatness thrust upon him and is becoming emboldened. In a news clip the other day he openly asked a question on, government policy, directly to the PM. Nah!

Are you sure that's not a parody piece?

In fact I'm not sure that there isn't a bit of a sea change slowly creeping in where the rags aren't getting lauded so much as laughed at.

My take was the same, I think the writer of the piece was taking the proverbial.

Anyone see the paper headlines this morning with Jordan Henderson asking England players to "be horrible" and "get nasty" against Belgium today. No guessing who he wants to target!
Almost an incitement to commit acts of violence?
(Imagine if in the current political/media climate, the Belgium team and KDB etc. were black?)
