On a general note, I have seen numerous examples over the years of players being rejected as being too small. It is total bollocks, yet they are still doing it.
Have they not noticed Messi, Maradonna, Silva, etc etc?
If you're good enough, you're big enough.
Kinky,Scholes,Keegan,Bernardo,Muller etc the list goes on and on. Size doesn't seem to matter.

PB - Am I right that even if we were domiciled in a tax haven, income is still taxed at source? Being offshore is used to mitigate capital gains, I thought???
Profit is taxed, not income. It would depend on the corporate structure. In some companies, they'd earn all their revenue in the UK but any profit would effectively be remitted to a "head office" registered in a tax-haven, via some sort of charge. In others (like Apple & Amazon) the revenue itself is booked in the tax haven.

Interestingly, at least 3 EU countries - Ireland, Netherlands and Luxembourg - are low tax regimes, which is one reason why the EU is a joke.

If there are any self-respecting "journalists" out there apart ftom Martin Samuel, I'd like them to ask some questions of the Premier League and now is as good a time as any;

1) Why were representatives of Liverpool and Manchester United allowed to interview candidates for the head of the PL ?
2) What did they ask them ?
3) Did Liverpool and Manchester United play any part in the refusal of the previous two candidates to take up office ?
4) Were Manchester United and Liverpool consulted about the takeover of Newcastle ?

The follow-up questions are obvious but that should get us started.

Clearly the BBC have run out of semi-sensible anti-City stories, and have resorted to crazy talk in their gossip column.

In today's 'Not City News' we have the following 'gem'.

'Miedz Legnica's 27-year-old Spanish winger Joan Roman, who played for Manchester City's youth team, has changed his name to Goku, the lead character from Japanese manga and anime series Dragon Ball'.

Read it quick before it gets shut down....

Wow, wonder what the count of threats of violence against the author is up to by now?

Well done to the journalist for saying it how it is, and who would of thought an actual Sun journalist showing more integrity than our national broadcaster the BBC!

5) Why did the PL quietly drop the FFP wage increase rule at the time Utd desperately needed to offer large new contracts and spend heavily

What is the logical connection between a bale out for the EFL clubs and the change to Prem voting rules?
Why did the Liverpool CEO suddenly pack up and leave in 24 hours?
