He played occasionally as an emergency left-back and defensive midfielder, but he was always principally a right-back.

Top man and equal fave player with Sergio. All the best in the future Zabs.
He didn't replace Richards it took halfway through the title season for that to happen.
Corluka left and we signed Zaba, hence he replaced Corluka
2 right backs whichever way you look at it.

He definitely played a couple of games for us as a DM but he was always a right back.

Yea you're right,Richard's played centre half for a large part,think its sticking in my head that he was a midfielder cos he scored the winner from midfield against Wigan about 10 years ago,it was my birthday that day and for that(plus a few other things ;)) I remember it well...
