All of those yellow's carrying over is a worry.. good win overall though..

I bet Garcia became a shit defender on the very day he announced he didn’t want to extend with us.

That’s logic for some people.

I hope Eric can stay. Rate him above Stones and always did.

I have no problem with him deciding to go. I think it's best for him and for us. My only problem with him is that I just don't think he's anywhere near good enough as a defender. He's awful in the air, doesn't have much pace and frequently fails to track his runner. Not really the attributes I would want in a CB.

He will probably be better suited to playing in Spain and I wish him luck there.

very average first half but steadily improved in the second half.

great third goal

the injury situation is getting increasingly worrying

thought Walker was excellent - certainly the pick of the back 4

People don’t recognize his intelligence. He knows he can’t win an aerial duel against a big strong man towering over him at 1.92m, so he stands behind and try to catch the second ball instead. I watched his performance a little extra tonight after reading a lot about him being useless in the air in the prematch thread. He’s a smart player and reads the game well.
imo a lot better than Stones ever did.

Stones has like 70% success rate in the air. Does that make him worldclass? No. It means nothing and tells you nada about a defenders overall capability.

Better become a real cule then and join @ FCBarca , as you both talk and think alike.

Being slow, poor in the air and losing your man aren't good attributes for a CB in the PL. I'm not convinced that he reads the game that well either.

I don't think Stones is the answer but I do believe he is a better CB than Garcia at present.

I'll fully admit that the fact Garcia decided to announce his intention to return to Barcelona on the eve of our tie with Madrid has influenced my opinion of him.

Previously, I felt him to be slow, undersized, bad in the air, and abysmal at tracking runners. After, I added "is a twat" to that list.

You don’t get capped by Spain at his age if you’re shit do you!

What a load of cock.

You mean other players stepped in for him.
You watched his performance & he read the game ?

What did he read when he was facing the fucking lino with his hand up & the City backline, behind him, playing the player on, like he's done in a whole bunch of games costing us ?

What was he reading when the player ran across our defence to score & he hid behind Rodri doing fuck all ?

What about the cross that came in & he let the cf who was in front of him, run behind him without even noticing ?

He's like a fucking tutorial on how not to defend & Pep bigs him up.

It's like fucking Wille McKay & Kevin Keegan with Pep & Puyol

I thought it was Pep that announced that Garcia wanted to leave ahead of the Madrid game?

Didn't want Garcia playing after refusing a contract but thought he was decent today.
