How is it nothing if votes aren't being processed?

The only reason you think it's nothing is because 99/100 votes being counted is beneficial to one party.
Wait what? The more people that vote the better the Democrats tend to do. Of the Swing States, more than half have a Democratic Governor. So even if we assume fraud by the government officials, then it would be evenly shared.

But the truth is more likely than not unless you royally screw up, it would be hard to undermine your vote.

Not saying it's impossible, just saying it's unlikely.

Oh no, Cunty McChickenface has told us the GoP desperately wants all votes counted from legal voters, so that can’t be right.
I know you are a big fan of headlines but seldom take the time to read the relevant and insightful portion: I have taken the time to highlight it for you: Anything to help a brother out :)

The court ruled that the ballot-handling restrictions are justified in fighting voter fraud, even if such fraud is rare, and numerous steps have already been taken to help absentee voters in light of the pandemic. (In short, counting votes 14 days after the election is just an open invitation for fraud) Anyway read the next paragraph to see what has already been done to secure EVERY legal vote.. Btw the next paragraph is for you too @pudge

"Municipalities across Michigan now have installed more than 700 ballot drop boxes available for absent voters who do not want to use the mail to deliver their ballot, and ... there will be more than 1,000 drop boxes available by Election Day," the ruling said. @pudge please take note!

According to the appeals court

"Additionally, satellite election centers embedded in some communities allow eligible persons to register to vote, receive a ballot, vote, and drop off their completed ballot, all on-site." Again pudge...

Further, the Legislature passed a law to allow clerks to begin processing absentee ballots early, the court said.... Like I said pudge, you really have to be trying not to vote to fail. In Michigan, it is much ado about nothing!

Donald is definitely going to lose. Just depends how much voter suppression the GOP has in them to invalidate that.

I fear it will get violent regardless the outcome.

I sense it will get violent if Trump wins. I'm not so certain it will if he loses.

Trump is behind in the polls, but he can win. And he can do so legally.

This notion that the only way he can win is by cheating is silly and false. It's unlikely. But it's possible.

Here are some factors suggesting he can win:

1.
Swing State polls are closer than the national average. 4-6 points. Not the 8-12 p pounts nationally which is not as relevant.

2.
On the question: are you better off than you were 4 years ago (a poll question pollsters ask since Reagan used it in the 79 debate... 56% said yes... Generally, Presidents in the high 40s win re-election and those in the low 40 lose. So Bush Senior lost at 42%<, and everyone from Reagan to Obama who won a 2nd term were between 47 - 49%... Trump is at 56% on the same question.

3.
Black men are showing an approval rate for Trump higher than any Republican in the last 30 years. As high as 25-47% on polls... Sure this doesn't mean they'll vote for him. The best Republicans average Single did it's to low teens generally.

If 25% of black men vote for Trump, he can certainly win.

4.
In Battle Ground States, Republicans are out registering Democrats 2-1 in new voters. Which doesn't bold well for Democrats. Granted overall Democrats have a higher number of registered voters in most Swing States. But new voters is indicative of interest to vote...

So can Trump win fairly? Absolutely! Is he? Unlikely.

While he has some good indicators, like the above, he also has bad ones. His elderly vote support had been eroded by Biden who cuts a likable figure. He is low on campaign money, And the press with the exception of fix hate him. Not to mention, high turn ours often favor challenger/ Democrat.

So while I expect Biden to win, I won't be surprised if he does.

Don't necessarily disagree with your logic on Trump winning, but I wholeheartedly disagree with the notion that it will not get violent if he loses. His supporters have frequently become violent on his behalf while he is in power. I live in Austin, and today just 10 miles north of me a group of Trump supporters with guns threatened a Biden campaign bus to the point they had to cancel an event. I can't imagine what these lunatics will be like if their god king loses, especially if he claims the results are illegitimate - which he almost certainly will. In fact - he already has been for months.

Can he win legitimately? Sure. It's possible. Maybe a 10% chance? But you and I both know his best path to victory is challenging the results through the courts that McConnnell has packed, and that's what he's going to do. He's admitted as much. Let's be real here.

Trump is fucking toast. I've been saying Biden was going to win this election since February or so and was planning on writing a long post explaining exactly why as we got into this final stretch, but this guy did it way better than I would've. I encourage anyone having last minute doubts to take a look:

I’d reply in full about ALL the measures the GOP are attempting nationally to suppress the vote but having seen your post in the trump thread I’ll not bother. You’re scum.

300 current lawsuits to limit voting and when ballots can be counted.

300.

There are only 50 frigging states!!!

The Republican Party under Trump has proven itself to be the disgusting, racist, voter suppressing, voter intimidating, rich white guy cabal it has always been caricatured as.

I’ve voted Republican in the past, but can’t see voting that way in the future given the current crop of lying, cheating, weak dick sycophants that lead that party.

"When conservatives become convinced that they can not win democratically, they will not abandon conservatism. The will reject democracy.” - David Frum

We have known this was coming for years. McConnell calling the voters rights act a democrat power grab, Trump saying that if voter turnout went up thered never be another Republican in the White House, the recorded fundraiser from years ago where they promised voter suppression would be key in 2020.

The Republican Party cannot exist in a country that has normal elections with a healthy turnout.
