Again in Northern Ireland the older age range of testing and the numbers in care homes seen a reason why deaths are so disproportionate to patient numbers.

Yesterdays v todays age ranges for the 7 day rolling case

0-19 (667 v 640)

20 - 39 (1764 v 1691)

40 - 59 (1652 v 1574)

60 - 79 (739 v 715)

80+ (323 v 329)

As you see falls everywhere APART from the over 80s - the most likely to die. That these are testing positive so much more here is their big problem. Almost certainly in care homes.

Thanks for the link. Wow. So much to understand. Lucky I knew a bit already but my lunch break over ran looking at this. I think I will go for scenario 2 with no vaccine......do r<1 intervention forever wearing a mask in a post covid 19 world..

yeah I do see that site as a bit of a must read for all this. gives a decent view of what scenarios there are and what to expect from them.

there will probably be some others not covered and other things that impact but from a pure "maths" point of view it shows lots.

I've seen on twitter there are queues for tesco at Handforth Dean and other places.

Do people realise than supermarkets will remain open during the lockdown? Tossers.

I used this in the first lock down and it was pretty accurate.

Dont be cute , i keep hearing rates are soaring as an arguement against lockdown , as with every other theory it is just not true , dont twist it
The ONS said, “Given the length of time it takes to hold an inquest (around five months), we do not currently know the total number of suicides that occurred during the coronavirus pandemic.”

N. Ireland 3 wks ago v 2 wks v last wk v today

Deaths 3 v 6 v 5 v 8 today

Cases 877 v 820 v 727 v 493 - if you need a sign circuit breakers work there it is.

Patients 148 v 261 v 342 v 379 - again looks like a clear slowing down

Ventilators 15 v 25 v 30 v 42 - but here we see the opposite as with deaths. This would be the last measure to show a fall - but it is again almost certainly due to the 80+ numbers being the only cases going upward.

England hospital deaths in detail:

Nov 1 adds 23 = 23 after 1 day. (Last week it was 17 added)

Oct 31 adds 66 = 97 after 2 days. (Last week 50 were added)

30 Oct adds 13 =129 after 3 days (Last week 17 were added)

29 Oct adds 9 = 172 after 4 days (Last week 3 were added) 172 is the highest day 4 total since 10 May and the highest single day number of deaths in England hospitals even after add ons since 12 May.

28 Oct adds 6 = 162 after 5 days. (Last week 1 was added), 162 is the highest 5 day total since 12 May.

1 was also added to 26 Oct to total 155.

I'm not arguing, but it does say in this link that London ambulance service are responding to an average of 37 per day,as opposed to 22 in 2019.

Sorry wrong link.....
The London Ambulance Service has said the number of suicide and attempted suicide incidents has increased, with crews attending an average of 37 callouts per day, compared to 22 in 2019.

Not mass vaccination, some frontline staff
Do you argue with yourself, ffs?

I am not an ex-this or ex-that, but very much still involved with the NHS and I, along with many other colleagues, was told that the timescales for the vaccine had been seriously narrowed and the NHS should be prepared to roll out a mass vaccination programme from December 1st. That’s not to say that there will be one on that date but all the regions have been told the same thing.

I thought I’d share it here, as I thought some might find it interesting, but I won‘t be doing it again, so you (and @mosssideblue, for that matter) don’t need to worry and can just keep scouring the purveyors of truth, sky and the Beeb.

So nobody can say it is soaring , the bmj give the numbers and that caveat

Link please

A doctor i know well said he is inundated with people asking for anti depressant's. So many struggling with it.

Maybe we should, how many have there been? When you have the data it will then be possible to make that judgement on facts rather than gut feeling.

It seems like along with flu related deaths these are being airbrushed from history.
