The mind plays tricks and sometimes we are all guilty of seeing what we want to see and perceiving things because we desire them. It’s why most City fans think Laporte is better than Van Dyke; and with Liverpool fans vice versa.

And in saying what I’m about to say I’m conscious that I’ll inviting a degree of ridicule, but I’ve looked at the polls, and tried to read the mood music in the US, and attempted to weigh 2016 into the calculation, and considered the likely significance of the levels of postal voting and the overall turnout (which is going to be high) and I believe that Trump is going to get soundly beaten.

Maybe not quite Walter Mondale in ‘84, but around 200 electoral college votes is my prediction.
I like you.

Genuine question and not quite a rhetorical one but when Trump is doing these rallies and puff pieces on Fox does he ever outline what his policies and ambitions are? I know Twitter is all about short headline grabbing snippets but all he seems to do is call people names and make wild claims about Biden eating your babies or whatever. Does he ever say anything of actual substance?

Nope. He's still not released his Healthcare plan which was 2 weeks away 3.5 years ago... then 2 weeks away 3 years ago, then....

Just look to his interview about his healthcare plan for the answer. It's no.

Wherever I just saw Trump speaking he started talking about how it needs to be decided on the night because the whole world is waiting and that 'bad things' happen to ballots if it goes on too long. Bad things like what, counting them?
Bad things like his militias accidentally setting fire to places where the ballots are secured maybe...?

US Post Office just ordered all of its buildings to be swept to ensure everyone with a mail-in ballot gets to vote.

It sounds well-intentioned but I wonder if it will be used to argue some votes were counted twice?

We are fast approaching the hour in 2016 when I had my first real inkling, ie knew, that Hillary had muffed it and Trump was going to win.

It was a tweet saying the big firework party for the Democrats and Hillary had been cancelled with no reason given.

That is not a good sign I said to myself. I perhaps understated the situation.

Everything seems to be going smoothly across the country , so far

Trump has cut his celebration party to 250 people , dont know if that says anything or not

Who's staying up? I have a feeling that the exit polls are going to show a clear winner.
