So it's interesting that you say this -- was just now corresponding with someone about this.Sadly seeing as Covid has become a political issue in America I can see Biden trying to elect some sane policies (social distancing/masks/lock downs etc.) but you just know the Republican states will riot over this. If Trump doesn’t accept the result (which I think is likely) it’s going to be a dog’s dinner in the US for a little while longer.
If Biden is going to win, the best thing for America would be for him to cleanly sweep the remaining states.
Try this on for size -- McConnell has just now come out and said that stimulus needs to get done before the end of 2020. That's great. If he and Pelosi can craft something, Trump may just say "shove it" which makes him look like even more of a dick and gives McConnell the ability to distance himself.
Then Biden comes in. If Biden, McConnell and Pelosi can work together to de-politicize the pandemic (with Trump and his cronies out the door given they were pandemic response blockers), and pass stimulus, then all in office -- red and blue alike -- can take credit for both an improving health environment and a positive economic response when 2022 rolls around and it's time for re-election.
