Liverpool (H) - Post-Match Thread

Bad day at the office for KDB, Walker and Sterling. Should have won as they didn’t do anything in the second half. Cancelo was our best player today. Overall it could have been worse and it’s early days in the season.

Imagine our team of 2018-19 playing against our current team. Rodri and Gundo up against Silva an Fernandinho.

current team would lose 5-0. He’s turned out great team into a bunch of lightweight bedwetters. Can’t be bothered with this turgid crap football anymore. It’s all down to pep. Bernardo and Foden should be starting for their pressing alone.

A bit disappointed but I'm not upset. Everyone expected the mighty Liverpool to overwhelm us and we were only beaten by a penalty.

Defence after the pen was great. Can really be pleased with themselves. A few owe Cancelo an apology I reckon.

Jesus gave it as good a go as you could ask, and I do think Gundogan had a lot of good moments (and a couple bad).

De Bruyne, Sterling, Torres, and Rodri should all be a little disappointed. Rodri is a bit forgiveable because he was targeted but nonetheless.

There for the taking from 60 minutes onwards.
Thought once we got Gabby into the game and give him some much needed support, from 25 minutes onwards we were the better team.

Take our chances and that should be a win. Good performances from Cancelo, Dias, and Gabby. I will eat my words and say Dias is currently outperforming Laporte. The rest were disappointing especially Kevin, Rodri, Gdog, and Sterling. Pep made plenty of mistakes yet again. Will we challenge for the title? Not the way we are currently attacking. They need to improve.

Opportunity missed. Reaffirmed what we all know - we ain’t winning the league this year because we aren’t good enough.

cancelo and Laporte were fantastic.
