What does our Goalkeeping coach get paid to do ??

Shoot at the net its a goal....its not just Ederson it goes back to Bravo

Joe Hart would have stopped more shots meaning more points than the assists either keeper have made to get us points !!

We have a number of problems and Ederson is good. But it does seem the opposition seem to score with their first shot. Not saying he’s crap or to blame. But it would be nice for him to make exceptional saves.

Joe was fucked off because he wouldn't save everything he was supposed to and on top of it was mediocre in every other department. Career since has proved it.

So what would you want Ederson to do there? Literally every goalkeeper on earth would've conceded there. Stop talking bullshit please Ederson is top 3 GK in the world rn.
If he stayed on his line with Cancelo covering across he would have had to dive forward to stop that sh!t shot

And he flies off his line to make up Lo Celso's mind .....WHY ????????

He’s not our biggest problem. But the great keepers, Schmeichal , Buffon , Shilton etc would make great saves in tight games. Ederson is a decent keeper but not exceptionable.

Funnily enough the same thing was pointed at Bravo and people never forgave him.

He is one of the biggest problem, cause he is chosen not for his goalkeeping ability but because he can pass the ball
Nope, the rest of the team isn't functioning as it should. In closing down, in creating chances, and converting chances. If he kept a clean sheet today, we still draw 0-0 because the rest of the team is not working. Look at our goals scored for the season.

Score goals, you take control of the game.

The way we play as a whole exposes Ederson, sometimes he makes mistakes, it's natural. At the moment the mistakes cost us more because the team isn't performing well.

He was at fault for both goals, but he shouldn't change his style. With the way Ederson plays you can't be half in, its either all or nothing. A goalkeeper that's jittery, and is doubting whether to advance or not, makes the whole backline nervous, because they don't what he's going to do. Hart and Given were more traditional goalkeepers that stayed close to their line, made saves, and left it to the defenders to mop up. That's not Pep's style. There's advantages and disadvantages from both types of goalkeeping, but the main thing is that the defenders know where they stand as regards the goalkeeper.

Both goals down to Eddie's poor decision making today. He's having a bad season after a couple of outstanding ones. I think he deserves some slack. Our main problem is a lack of pace in midfield.
