Talk Sport (I know, I know) last night was appalling. Jason Cundy saying City have spent all this money and cant score yet Liverpool also qualified with a team full of home grown players......

Kept praising Klopp for being brave in blooding all the kids and when anyone called in to say had all the regulars been fit none of them would be playing they were shot down

Just looked at the nominees for Sports Personality of the year. Two words: Jordan Henderson! Guess their voting bots/ indian hackers have been primed.

Heartwarming to note Sir Marcus will receive a Special Award. Might be washing my hair that night. Shame as SPOTY used to be an annual highlight. These days it seems to be about social media manipulation with healthy PR backhanded.

There were less snide jibes by the commentators as well. Though they couldn't help themselves with the ongoing bogus narrative about Phil Foden's game time. He has the third highest number of appearances in our squad this season (14) just below Rodri (16) and Sterling (15). Apparently this doesn't count because he is not getting enough starts in the PL (as if the CL is somehow not as significant)
Anyway Foden has now had 88 first team appearances and is possibly the most successful 20-year-old player in world football with the trophies he has won (don't forget his Man of the Match to win the Under 17 World Cup for England). Perhaps he would do much better with Martin Keown managing his career.
This was the u17 squad that won the world cup with the teams they were with at the time

Curtis Anderson (Manchester City), Josef Bursik (Stoke City), William Crellin (Fleetwood Town)

Timothy Eyoma (Tottenham Hotspur), Lewis Gibson (Everton), Marc Guéhi (Chelsea), Joel Latibeaudiere (Manchester City), Jonathan Panzo (Chelsea), Steven Sessegnon (Fulham)

Conor Gallagher (Chelsea), Morgan Gibbs White (Wolverhampton Wanderers), Angel Gomes (Manchester United), Nya Kirby (Crystal Palace), George McEachran (Chelsea), Tashan Oakley Boothe (Tottenham Hotspur)

Rhian Brewster (Liverpool), Philip Foden (Manchester City), Callum Hudson Odoi (Chelsea), Danny Loader (Reading), Jadon Sancho (Borussia Dortmund), Emile Smith Rowe (Arsenal)

Arguably, other than Foden, Odoi, Sancho and to a certain extent Sessegnon the rest have not really kicked on so why don't the media ask those clubs what has happened to their progress

Keown comes out with some shit but at least he has a voice you can tune out, unlike any scouse pundit.

Foden is one of the fastest players at the club. Apparently faster than Kyle Walker. Keown makes a fool of himself everytime he opens his mouth.

You only need to watch Foden glide around the pitch to know he's fast. I think keown must've had a dodgy stream.

The mute button is the best tune out , listen to City TV pre and post match and ignore the BT & Sky pundits and commentators with their agenda's , its refreshing listening to Shaun , Dunney , Dickov and aggressive walking and their totally biased views.

Ian Darke, or more accurately In the Darke, informed us that Eric Garcia was "Playing to cement a place in Pep's starting eleven".
Describing the match action was something to fall back on in between reading out texts from the stats' department.

I usually find Ian Darke reasonably harmless compared with the likes of Tyler, but he had a nightmare last night. Didn’t understand what was always a borderline offside on Rodders for the goal, routinely confused Rodri and Dias, but his best (ie worst) effort was getting Ferran T mixed up with Bernardo

I have pre match on mute and post match the telly's off. Usually have foreign streams and a lot of the time will prefer French or Spanish or that crazy Portugeuse match comm's

Terry?

Hang on that might have been The Caveman who said that lol

He seemed completely unaware that Garcia has refused to sign a new contract and, barring a sale in January, when his existing one expires in June he's off on a free to Barcelona.
