United (A) Post Match Thread

The way I look at it is when Pep got here we had 5 maybe 6 players who could have walked in his Barca side (Vinny, Silva, Ferni, Yaya, KDB and possible Kun) now we have one that could make that walk and even he's not really in form, the rest would be playing in the reserves.

The players believe they're better than they are and we've never replaced the pure talent we had.
Spot on mate. Our two most creative players were on the bench. I still love Pep but It’s really strange what goes on in Peps thinking sometimes We’re looking more and more like a mourinho team which is more pragmatic.

I've always said that if we are within five points going into the new year then I'd take that, and our ability to keep a clean sheet is a plus, Dias and Stones are building a partnership, but...bloody hell that was shit on a stick stuff.

One of the worst derbies I've ever seen, zero intent to try and win the game.

However, I think that was entirely by design, we cut off Uniteds threat and didn't play into the trap that they had set up.

Too many times we've sat here and gone "we never learn and we leave our CBs exposed" but today we played a system that protected the back four and gave us some control.

I think we'll line up very similar in the Champions League.

Walker got the ball from the one look i saw Sir Free Dinner kicked Walkers studs
It was fucking embarrassing. The delayed reaction and then the fall that came should’ve resulted in a booking but it’s St Marcus so everything is good.

Yes, it's a clean sheet. And yes; it's a point more there than we managed last season. But that compared to the non performance in Madrid under Pellegrini, and the no show against Lyon in the summer. The three points were there for the taking; utd are really not that good a side. Precious little courage or conviction on show out there tonight.
they are a better side than they were last season when they beat us three times on the counter. And since then we have lost Silva and had no Aguero. So why wouldn't you play more conservatively?

Anyone think Sterling is worth over 300k a week right now?

He doesnt change games or be the stand out player. Is he regularly the motm?

1st touch is awful and unless its a tap in I wouldn't bet on him to score.

Not saying the result is all down to him but fuck me he is mediocre right now.
He’s not worth what I get paid a year at the moment

People bang on about our squad depth , we’ve got fuck all game changers on the bench or anyone with the X factor . Predictable and boring

I'm disappointed with the lack of fight up front. We need a forward that can create and put away a chance out of very little (I guess that's why Pep persists with Mahrez). We need Aguero from a couple of seasons ago or a Tevez. Three big chances not taken and a clean sheet again will be the only thing we can take away. I'd love Haaland.

Mourinho does this, it's a masterclass. "Attack wins games, defence wins titles" and other yer da shite. Pep does it and he is a fraud. Get behind the team you useless cunts.
Mourinho's style of football is fucking awful though.

Well only one team wanted to win that game. Watching the rags trying to pass from the back is laughable and once they crossed half way, because they couldn’t hoof it they hadn’t a clue. Another clean sheet, not bad for a defence that could be got at and Stones looking back to his best. We will get there, just need to get through to January with no injuries. Roll on next game.
