All I’m saying is that it’s self fulfilling.. you know the Daily Mail and BBC are either going to play down our achievements or write something negative about the club so when you read it it’s going to wind you up.. don’t read it and your blood pressure will go down. That’s the point I was making
I'm with you mate; seek, find, be annoyed, and repeat; "cerca trova" and all that. I do much of what you advocated earlier, was just pointing out the fly in the ointment of the "ignorance is bliss" tactics.

Dull derby display highlights Pep Guardiola and Man City's marked decline
The Manchester derby ended in a hugely disappointing 0-0 stalemate with City once again failing to spark
Marked decline? Those cunts haven’t won the league for approaching eight years.

What was that like tonight mate, Chapman is usually OK for a rag, did they have a go at us?
Yeah, he was ok tonight too. I like him as a presenter. Rory whatshisname is a liverpool sycophant and apologist at every turn, but Micah did a good job of justifying our derby tactics and shut down that accusation quite quickly. His interview with Sterling was interesting to listen to as well.

If you don't know that something exists it doesn't cease to exist. It still informs and moulds the opinions of a large proportion of the country's football fans; so in order for it to "disappear" do we have to stop talking football with other fans too?
No, but you can just laugh at them when they spout bollocks instead of engaging them like they have a rational point. It’s what I started doing a while ago and it winds them up no end. Knowledge is power my friend, not whatever spin the BBC are using.

They will be defunded soon I hope, and whilst redundancy is a horrible thing, some of their sports staff deserve it for allowing a publicly funded body to fall so low.

That Rory Whatshisname was definitely playing dipper bingo during the grief fest

Big sister in the Reach Group hierarchy.

Reach was just a new name for Trinity Mirror/Mirror Group Newspapers (Officially to have all titles under one name, but tax dodge really...) Echo was firstly just contract printed to keep us busy during the day , ditto MuEN. As the fall in Mirror sales meant no need to do a pre-print during the day, to be inserted into the main jackets at night. Not enough ads to make it worthwhile.

But then the MuEN moved lock stock and barrel into the site, and became, like the Echo, part of the group. Some top blokes (many Blues too) still there, but all know they are on borrowed time. Print figures constantly in decline ..

Did you hear Sammy Lee say, something on the lines of, "...you remember Rory, you were in and around the inner workings of the club back in Houllier's time"?

As if we didn't know anyway, it further cemented my belief that he was one of the protagonists around the FFP leaked stories.

Very interesting. I thought Reach was a new name to cover the strange adoption of the Express group. They have a huge number of titles all over the country and it is bizarre that, say, a weekly in Folkestone or some other distant provincial carry Liverpool and United articles.
The Echo seems to have more weight than the MUEN but my lead to both comes usually from BM and we all tend to favour or not certain things.
I used to attend a job club at the same time as Margaret Thatcher got the boot. One of the lads was made redundant as the Mail's small ads manager and he always concealed his £50k p.a. at the Mail as potential employers were frightened away.
My dad used to work in what is now the Print works for the Mirror and Evening Chron. He always used to say that going off to war with the Manchester Regiment in September 1939 was his means of escape from Kemsley Newspapers.

Chapman is an excellent professional broadcaster/journalist. They are in short supply at BBC sport these days. It is bizarre that they don't use him more.

Like this?

I was there that day in the Kippax. Nobody could believe him making such a schoolboy error. (As a 12 year old keeper in school I got a bollocking from the games master for doing that in a house match). The entire scoreboard end was screaming at him and he just looked mystified at them as the ball bounced past him.

That was Jimmy Greaves's debut for West Ham and he kept up his record of scoring in every debut match although in the build up Harry Redknapp was miles offside. Typical City lost 5-1 after impressively winning 4-0 at Upton Park earlier in the season. I was there too.

In his early days he was hopeless in the air for such a big lad but of course he went on to improve greatly.

Remember his debut v Blackpool in the League Cup, when he let the ball go through his legs for their goal? Then was brilliant in the replay? That was Joe.

Stones has been stupid and let it affect his performances for too long. But her running to the papers after faiing to extort more money from him is a snide’s trick. He was also bankrolling half her family as well, paying them to do spurious ‘jobs’ for him like driving etc
That's the sort of stuff that nobody knows about. He has no chance, bound to get a shite rep. You don't hear him bleating about the crap (provided that there is some) that he had to put up with from her and her side of the family.

Same here.

Don't have Sly Sports News on anymore. Stopped watching Sunday Supplement beforre it was rightly pulled. Talkshite is also off. Gave up on BBC United Football, TV, Radio, and online years ago. Binned the MUEN paper and MUEN online years ago. (used to always get the Pink Final) Don't read the tabloids. My only City news source is BM and News Now, Man City, where I can pick what I want to read or not.
Same here, and I’d add it’s interesting to see the various City podcasts really upping their game this season. There’s such a variety of styles too. Hopefully there’s room for all. The way those City Extra boys are responding for example leaves MSM stuck in the past.

It’s almost like there’s a void to fill with authentic, passionate, entertaining content that speaks to fans rather than the tired, snide, sycophantic click bait that is aimed at the drooling masses and the Singapore massive.

I occasionally still visit guardian football page. If only to click on the X on the While you’re here subscribe button. Not a chance Guardian. Its utterly offensive to ask for money for standing up for independent reporting while at the same time promoting agenda driven lobbying for pure clicks. I’ve been a football fan for 40+years. You could say an expert on this subject. Your inane fan boy bullshit defines you and means i am obliged to doubt your overall credibility.
What am I supposed to believe? You switch integrity on and off depending on the subject matter. It doesn’t work like that.

I think BBC copied and pasted their obituary for Wenger and swapped his name for the former Liverpool gaffer.

"Houllier was a foreign manager who changed the game for the better by instigating a fitness regimes and tactics that many other clubs copies during, and after his tenure as Liverpool boss..."
