The bbc are painfully negative in everything they report

ive stopped watched its breakfast news . Soon wont have 5live on in the van after 10am and havent watched the later news in god knows how long.

they make the likes of mosside blue look cheery

latest slit the wrist news from the bbc

Fucking incredible that the school the Prime Minister and went to is permitted to do this, whilst they prevent other schools doing it under force of law.
Just fucking unbelievable.
And people believe they're against elites. Blows my mind.
They are against elites mate - the 'liberal' elites.
They (the Govt) are the true elites , chosen to obey and carry out the will of the people.
Classic populist playbook stuff really.

Always chipper mate, find life a lot better that way. I would recommend it

Left wing elite/right wing elite, both the same

Mr Drakeford

"I will be discussing with Michael Gove directly later today whether the four-nation agreement that we struck continues to have marginally more advantages then disadvantages, or whether there is a different balance that we ought to strike," he told the Senedd

Here's a reminder of what could happen at Christmas after Michael Gove makes his all-important phone call later...

Sky News understands that these potential alternative options could emerge:

  • Keeping the rules as they are but toughening up the messaging
  • Reducing the number of days the rules are relaxed for
  • Reducing the number of households that are allowed to mix
  • Still allowing travel but restricting it to the same region
  • Moving the window to another time

Yep, Captain Foresight Keir is on the case now.
Just like last time when he recommended a lockdown and eventually the Govt caved in.
Thing is though that’s not right.
The Welsh and Scottish lock down, same Star,er would have copied, as said by SAGE, not thought up by Captain obvious, did t work out great did it.
You must have been sleeping earlier when someone posted about the three countries in the UK that are not Tory led aren’t doing so great after their circuit break.

Anyhow you have again deliberately posted a political point in here when it should be in politics thread.

Yeah, Drakeford has fucked up.
After blaming the Welsh people he now wants to blame Westminster.

Perhaps he needs a little self introspection. Why did I go back to no rules when the circuit breaker hadn’t worked, and I knew it hadn’t worked?

My point was he made a recommendation for England and the government followed it eventually.
Not political, factual.

Nicola Sturgeon says there have been nine confirmed cases of the new variant of COVID in Scotland - all in the Greater Glasgow & Clyde area.

The First Minister stresses there's no evidence to suggest the new variant is likely to cause more serious illness in people.

The First Minister says: "While the initial analysis of it suggests that it may be more transmissible, with a faster growth rate than existing variants, that is not yet certain.

"It may instead be the case that it has been identified in areas where the virus is already spreading more rapidly."

She says no Scottish local authority will move to Level 4 - the highest - tier restrictions in Scotland

Daily briefing

I work in West lancs in hospitality. Back to work for me tomorrow, setting up for reopening on Saturday.

Lots of noises now about ‘new strains’ and them being more infectious. I expect that excuse to be front and centre of any government row back on the 5 day relaxation period.

Expert (pah! Who needs 'em?) view on the "new strain" bollix.

I'm always sceptical of these 'new strain' claims. What are they characterising the virus in everyone's infections? Of course they aren't. You'd need to take blood for that and as far as I know that's not really happening.

Much less considering the time that would take.

I’ve lost my appetite and a sense of taste, just had some chocolate gingers and nothing, got a cold so hope it’s just that.

My mum thought the same in September. Classic cold symptoms with loss of taste, as can happen with a cold. She tested and it came back positive.

As you have lost your taste, you must now self-isolate immediately. You should self-isolate for 10 days. You must also get a test within the first 8 days of your symptoms starting.
