Rodri is the new undroppable. Which probably sums up where we’re at currently. Absolutely no need for him to be in the team against the Baggies at home. Gundo played the CDM role brilliantly at the latter end of 18/19 and Pep seems to forget that.

Gundo’s job tonight will be to pass between the lines and find runners.

Sterling needs to get back on the right and will soon get his form back. The longer he stays on the left, nothing will change.

I would agree if we had a player that is significantly doing a better job than sterling, that is Scoring goals for fun. When we go into February we need a sterling in form.

I'm hoping that is all it is. Fatigue post Covid is very real even if you are otherwise ok.

A few have been well below par for a good while now. I don't think he's been any worse than a few others and has often been played out of position when he has got a game.

Anyway, today's team should be enough for a win.

Pep praised both Ake and Laporte after Marseille game but said they have to wait because Stones and Dias are doing so well.

Why Ake has got the nod tonight would be for Pep to explain. Maybe he feels Ake needs to games more than Laporte because he has more to learn about how we play.
