TV Series

Really? She loses the final because of a stupid mistake and her Mum dies during the tournament and you find her going off the rails unbelievable?
Yeah mate I did. Particularly as she had been ok after those two events. And then not. And then fine again. Don't get me wrong, I did enjoy the series, simply commenting that a couple of episodes I enjoyed less. The final episode was really good too.

I’m not trying to be a smartarse, apologies if it came across that way.

I started watching it at 8:05 last night and finished it before 10 this morning. I absolutely loved it.

I think with grief and with shock, people who suppress it can find it leaking out at bizarre times. It took the return of her mate from the orphanage to get her to face all the demons she had from being little. Only then was she ready to beat the Russian.

So I really thought her mother was a well drawn and acted character so that was a bit of a gap. I found her sudden deterioration following her second defeat by the Russian puzzling and a little unbelievable. In addition, just not that much of a story development compared to the first three episodes. The actor that plays Meg is obviously a rising star and very good. Its beautifully made and shot and the soundtrack is superb.
There was a reference earlier in one of the episodes, by Benny Watts I think, about how much a defeat can affect a players mental state. Think that was why she went off the rails so badly.

Giri / Haji seems great, feels a lot fresher than a lot of the series I've tried to endure recently.

Lining up 'The Expanse' s5 on Amazon for the weekend. Best Sci Fi in years. Any Trekkies out there let down by Picard and Discovery (and you enjoyed TV remake of BSG) do yourself a favour and get onto this show.
I tried it a few months ago,and drifted away half way through season 1.It just wasn't holding my attention, and i love Sci Fi.

Just finished watching “The Valhalla Murders” on iPlayer. Worth watching if you enjoy Scandinavian-Noir, not up with the very best, but kept my attention throughout.

On episode 5 of Pennyworth, its about Alfred Pennyworth who is the butler of Bruce Wayne in the Batman world. This is centered around his young days in England, but it seems to be some kind of weird alternate reality. Don't expect any superhero stuff, but it's been ok up to now.

I enjoyed it up to about ep8 then the daftness exploded.

Just finished Mandalorian season two absolutely brilliant it like an 8 part film! I new when I started watching season one that it was set 5 year after the return of the Jedi so the ending of season two I guessed what was happening.
A 9.7/10 series.
