No no no. That's not right. Contrary Frank says that we have to take these things 'in context and there is nothing wrong with the way the media report us.
I can never work Frank out....apparently travels from the south coast to games so must have Talkragshite/Radio 5 on for hours, some people on here know him personally so he is real but then bangs his head day after day on Bluemoon saying back is white, makes you wonder why he bothers.

Here's what annoys me on twitter.

A pundit or journalist will goad/antagonize supporters of a certain club with a clickbait comment. Fans rightly correct the said pundit mostly in a comprehensive way. "Pundit/journo" then claims they are been "trolled" and cries about it citing mental health issues (falsely).

If you can't give it out then don't take it. Seen it now from Harris, Quek, Aluko and other shite pundits.

Leeds United have publicly called out Karen Carney on Twitter over comments she made. Somewhat ironically people like Matterface complaining it just encourages fans to pile on those pundits.

I think we'd say that if clubs held people to account more for the ridiculous and often offensive things they've said it might encourage those pundits to think before they speak and maybe do some research before saying the first bit of shit that comes into their heads.

Good for Leeds.

Sounds like typical bullying behaviour to me, giving it out in front of an audience but crying and playing the victim when they're called out.

The sports media in this country with a small handful of exceptions are a pathetic joke.

Saying they were only promoted because the break due to Covid gave them a rest, conveniently forgetting or probably not knowing that they had just won five on the bounce without conceding. Lost first game after football started so the rest did them a world of good. Well done Leeds for calling her out. Wish we would do the same, might make people think twice before offering their ‘expert’ views

Quek a pundit? Since when. An unknown hockey player, like most are, who then jumped on any bandwagon out there and went to every opening of an envelope! Her views on any sport are worth jack.

Agree problem is city at the very top live in there bubble and the ones below them can’t act on any of the shit we get because they don’t have the power to.

Can’t stand the scum but they are on it and why they employed Ashton even though they don’t get half the shit we get.

We need a department with the power to deal with all these lies we get in the media.

Correct

I have just seen Matterface's tweet "not cool". Why isn't it cool then Sam?

Why is it ok for a pundit to smear a club with an outrageous comment and not be held accountable for such remarks? Rationale and witty argument is not trolling or promoting a pile on.

What needs to be addressed is inaccurate smears towards a club.

Don't give it out if you can't accept arguments. Abuse is obviously wrong and a separate matter but attacking ideas isn't trolling.

Funnily enough a few years back when I left my job in the Civil Service after 30 odd years dealing in law & with people etc I wrote to the club with my CV (seasoncard holder for longer than I'd been a CS) offering my services in any aspect for either PT or FT work...didn't even get an acknowledgement.
You must find it difficult when dealing with the ticket office pondering why the person currently displaying a wide range of incompetence has a job and you didn't get one.

Probably not appropriate for an official Twitter page but I think they’re absolutely spot on, non red shirt teams like us and Leeds are fed up of slander by pundits. No pundit would say that about Liverpool’s title win. I think it’s sad it has now become interpreted as sexist and misogynist as surely it doesn’t matter whether it was a man or woman saying it. Surely saying you can only call out a male pundit suggests that a women can’t handle the stick they would get on social media which would be sexist. Unfortunately Leeds have given the red shirt media another stick to hit their rivals with.

“And Harris is playing his Joker, the Sensitive City Fans card”
The 'Sensitive Fans' label might stick as it isn't as outwardly vicious as the 'sewer rats' description from that well known cheat Matthew Sayed.
City fans are the only group of fans that get openly criticised by media types apart from Millwall with their racism and violence over a long period.

Just thought I'd do a bit as a labour of love bud, I'd also get some itk stuff for here too! ;)

To be fair, touchwood I've never had a problem with the Ticket Office.

100%

Good on Leeds I say, and I wish City would do the same.

Our PR have fucking zero bottle

It's almost like the media want to be able to say whatever they want without accountability? Kind of goes against the point of journalism, doesn't it? Confusing.
Journalists taking the lead from politicians - who want to govern and make decisions but pointblank refuse to take any accountability... a feature of modern society - people want only the upside... Journalists treat us all with contempt and think we don't remember the lies they printed a week ago - when none of it comes to pass.

A good New Year proposal for all - avoid Twitter and the Press and you'll have a much happier 2021.

That's what makes me laugh when they go on about the freedom of the press. They and social media long ago lost any right to make out that democracy will crash if they are denied it, in fact the whole pack of them are responsible for killing it.

There are only 2 institutions the British media cannot topple

1. The Bank of England

2. Manchester City Football Club Ltd.
