United have a good squad with high quality players. Bruno has helped them a lot, and even Pogba looks like he's getting better.

I'm still not convinced they'll be challenging come April because they've got a habit of self destructing and going on a bad run of form, but theyre getting a LOT of help from the officials. Last night's penalty is a joke and VAR has to be overturning that.
 
Eventually their luck will dry up. It will! Trust me.

City need to come roaring back tomorrow, then they'll start remembering what it's like when we're chasing them down.......and catching them,

It makes you wonder why Sky and the like employ people who dont understand how a league works. If points are the same its then down to goal difference. Utd have a worse goal difference so are second.

It's not hard to understand how a league table works. If I was the employer I would call the person into my office and sack them for such a school boy error. Its embarrassing that Sky dont understand how the league table works, should the governing body look into Skys lack of football knowledge. Now if it said on points that's correct but it doesn't !

I didnt know the match ref could over ride VAR advice about going to the monitor. If the match ref refuses to use the monitor cant the VAR over rule the match ref and not award a penalty ?

So VAR can offer advice to the match ref who can choose to ignore their advice. What's the point of VAR than ?
 
Brighton gifted 2pts a penalty (surprise after the FT whistle)

WBA H won 1-0 a penalty

Southampton away 2-0 down turned it around won 3-2

West Ham Away were absolutely under the cosh and 1-0 down and were given a goal where clearly the ball had gone out of play win 1-3

Struggled to beat Sheff Utd

Beat Wolves after being pretty much 2nd best with a huge fluke of a deflection in the last minute.

Best Villa with another dubious (wasn't a penalty) penalty.

That's just off the top of my head but VAR and luck is certainly working for the bastards :(
 
My take on it..Pogba running parallel with the defender, his left boot on the upstroke goes under the right knee of the defender,he then trips on the downstroke...
If I can see it why can't VAR see it...?
VAR is not the answer people thought it was...
When playing Utd you have to factor in
unknown ...
To be fair All clubs have suffered with mindboggling decisions,but there seems no recourse to question or overturn obvious mistakes....

Honestly two players run alongside each other I really cant see where the player has tried to foul pogba. They was a very slight touch I thinking anything it was a slight accident not a foul. Not even sure if its,a foul anywhere on the pitch, let alone a penalty.
Only last week a defender stood on Sterling foot but that wasnt a penalty.
Now this penalty to utd is a fucking joke.
It's like because utd and liverpool have the biggest following the government has said they must be at the top to give moral up for the national.
And as for pogba telling Shaw to dive he needs banning as that is cheating.

Its become more and more difficult not to turn my back on football, I love City but this isnt football anymore, its WWF the results are know before kick off.

The powers at be arent even trying to hide their cheating out of utds last 30 odd penalties I bet if it had of been City only a third would have been awarded. I dont there is anyway City would have got that penalty last night. It would have been seen as just a coming together which it was, a coming together. Dont the refs know between a coming together and a foul ?
I fail to us how the defender fouls pogba you could blame on pogba funny running action ! The defender doesnt change his direction nor does pogba it's just a slight tangle of legs nothing more nothing less.

Seems utd are the chosen winners this season.

In fact looking again the defender just puts his foot in a normal position than pogba kicks the defender legs before tripping himself up. The more you look at it the more it's not a penalty. How can VAR not see that ? It's a coming together not every contact or coming together is a foul ! Unless its utd I guess

Also I can’t see anyone else mention Carltons forearm smash into the Villa player shortly before his triple pike with twist.
I was watching the All or nothing doc the other day when we lost 3-2 to the rags. I know it’s old ground but the bird shit swallower Youngs assaults on Raz and Sergio was blatant cheating of the highest order by the ref.
On BBC news last night the silly woman stated Carlton was having one of his better games for the Rags !!! Why mention that other than proof he is a bang average cheat?
Is football corrupt ? Exhibit A I give you the Carlton -Oliver double act.
Fuming ? Too fxxking right.
 
This is where var is all wrong. It all depends on the on field decision.
Because Oliver has given the pen. He has probably seen some sort of contact and is relying on the var to tell him it was pogba that instigated the contact.
But var won't over rule him because there was contact
This is where utd and Liverpool get given the pens and are hard to overturn and the rest don't get given the pens in the first place and then never get given by var

I think I heard someone say after last night's pen that if Oliver hadn't given the pen var wouldn't have given it either

Oh my lord! Pigmol should be 100% ashamed of that decision to award a penalty and even more so at the var room decision to uphold it, I say should be but we all know they won’t be, in fact they’ll probably be rather proud of it as it means their plan is working well....

That’s how to control matches & not once was anyone called cynical.

as has been said it’s a real team effort , Pigmol & the media & im pissed with City for not calling it out.

In 2013 I noticed no Rag players would pick up a booking until the 60th minute no matter what they did then they were subbed. No sendings off & then a ridiculous one after the title was won to make it look like it evens itself, GPC was pi$$ing himself.
 
Regarding the statement on sly that rags are TOP of the league. Of course, it suits the narrative.

We all know for sure that if City had fluked a win & the position was the same, every comment would be

The real culprit for me is Matic. They bring him on and he commits foul after foul and never seems to get punished. With regards to the referee . I like Oliver ,I think he is one of the better refs but to award that penalty last night without taking the chance to have a second look was a serious mistake. If he had looked at the monitor and confirmed his decision I could have lived with that
