There’s something strange going on with Laporte. Since his last injury we’ve barely seen him. He has either not made a full recovery or has fallen out of favour for some reason.

I remember the French manager saying the reasons he was not in the national team were not football related. I have no idea what that means but you have to wonder.

side as good as you could hope for, mendy doesn’t deserve his spot but if a lad like mbete can get a seat you have to wonder just how thin on the ground our squad is. Mendy should thank his lucky stars.

I still reckon we’ll win though.

Side note; what game did Laporte really drop the fucking ball, was it spurs? I think that really pissed pep off, or maybe a lack of a reaction? I remember Pep spelt a lot of time commenting on attitude and performance after that one

Laporte and ake missing in addition to the known, presuming injured. Looking at the bench you can see that's a seriously threadbare squad to have during the busiest period of the year. Just makes a farce of the entire competition and explains why no genuine football fan considers these covid seasons legitimate.

There's actually a lot of energy upfront. If we get it forward quick enough through gundogan and the fullbacks we could cause Chelsea some serious problems. Can't say I'm overly bothered though, covid has deprived us of any real emotion towards the results right now.
