I think the way current targets aren’t being met, “Eventually” is probably as accurate as it gets.

Someone, far more intelligent than me, will one day produce a figure to show how many extra deaths per day dithered by the Government. That figure along with the total deaths will go down in history.

Their incompetence is killing members of all our families and friends.

I think the ignorance and selfishness of many isn't helping either...

what would make people feel better is more information about the vaccine rollout. There has been enough time to plan for this as long as AZ can guarantee supply which I believe they have done at 2m doses per week. Having established that, where is the delivery plan? where and who will perform the vaccination? I have a feeling these questions are still to be answered - if they have been, the plan should be public domain giving some indication of when individuals will be vaccinated.

I think all governments have struggled containing this virus except for the likes of NZ, Australia and other sheep shagging countries. Everyone is so emotive and ready to blame these days. My own protective behaviour has eased a little since last March, ( we no longer use gloves and quarantine food deliveries in the garage or wipe down parcels and packaging with disinfectant) but we have always washed hands, carry large stocks of hand gel wherever we go, keep our distance and wear masks where necessary. Whilst there will be many contributing factors and the confusing tier system is an embarrassing mess or the first order, the main cause of excess deaths will be the stupidity of our population and our inability to follow simple guidance issued last March .

agree. Goverment have been a shambles and so slow but seeing how many people I know have big Xmas party’s, I realised that just blaming Goverment is not the only problem

Maybe it’s about time that people let the authorities get on with the roll out of the vaccine. We will know whether it has been a success or not by Easter. This topic is turning into the Match Day Thread where 80% of posters know more than Pep.

Given how many have already been done, roughly 5 weeks of 2 million vaccines a week and this pandemic is effectively over.


All I want to hear from the government is how they are going to hit that number, how they're going to solve the waiting time issue and go from 400 GP offices to over 1000 in 2 weeks. Because so far I'm not seeing anything but vague hopes.

Yes. I strongly agree with this but I am concerned about the variants, and vaccine evasion.

I have a feeling the rate of growth should slow in the SE of the UK and increase in the North.

Why would Golf/Pitch and Put,next to the Trafford Centre,still be open?

All golf courses are open but can only play in households or part of the "bubble". However, most courses are letting "two balls" play, not for me, it's too cold.

if they hit 5 weeks of 2 million vaccines... there is still a 12 week wait between each dose
