Pogba is not shit. Pogba is an exceptional player. Check out his performances for Juve or for France.

Since he has been at the swamp however Pogba has turned out dogshit performance after dogshit performance. He is not the only player in recent history who has looked the dogs bollocks but has turned to shit within a short time of arriving at the swamp. Falcao, Angel Di Maria, Sanchez, Ibrahimovic, Rojo, even Donny van whatsisface. Back to Juan Sebastian Veron, even.

There is something toxic about that club, something that stops a lot of players playing to the best of their ability after they arrive, and something that they benefit from being free of when they leave. It has happened too many times for it to be a coincidence.

Pogba would be five times the player at pretty much any other club in the world.
He was a luxury player at juventus, carried by pirlo, marchisio and vidal. Hes expected to control games at United which he can't do as hes a highlights player. Hes also shocking when pressed. And he's generally been shite for France other than one overrated world Cup where he wasn't even one of the top three or five best players in his team. Crap at euro 2016 and most post world Cup.

Hes the most overrated player I've seen in thirty years of following football. He seems to be rated so highly by some simply because of his media profile. Hes not shite but hes completely average. People see him doing a flick or hitting a Hollywood ball under absolutely no pressure and go completely over the top.

He represents everything wrong with modern football. Rated more for his pr than his performances.

To be honest apart from a 20 minute spell (admittedly in the Final) I thought Pogba was shite in the World Cup. I am also skeptical about his performances in a dominant team in Italy like Juve. His career stats are not that impressive.
You are right about most of the others on your list though. I agree that United is certainly a toxic club where players go backwards. Look at Rashford. He has not progressed at all. He was better four years ago than he is now. I have been told by someone with strong contacts at the club that there is a lot of discontent about the quality of coaching generally, especially with the younger players.

30 million for him, wasn't it? Ha ha, way to go raggies. Way to go.

I can't understand what they're doing with Van De Beek, he's a decent player bringing him on with 3 minutes to go 2-0 down was as good as saying ''you''re not wanted here mate''

You're spot on when you say he is shocking when pressed. He normally stands still leaning back with the ball stationary at his outstretched leg, before invariably falling over and getting tackled.

Contrast that with David Silva or in more recent games, Gundogan. They turn and swerve away into space keeping the presser behind them and keeping the ball moving into good positions. Or they spin on the spot and quickly move forwards leaving the presser trailing the wrong side of the ball. I don't think Pogbad ever does that.

They've conceded quite a few goals in recent years as a direct result of pogba losing the ball in a dangerous position.

Yes exactly, these are the type of things which open teams up and create space but never show up in stats sheets. Imagine pogba in peps barca team? He'd never have survived. He's got no football iq.

Have you seen him play live?

The most pathetic thing about the pogba circus was when their clueless fans accused anyone who didn't rate him of being racist. Essentially absolving his performances of any responsibility because he's black, even though his detractors rate tons of black players and prefer plenty of them to white players.

Thats how insane the pogba circus got for a long while.

No I haven't, not in a stadium if thats what you mean. But im pretty sure there's nothing to be gained from following him an entire game,

If you're implying I've never watched him play even on tv cos I disagree with you then that's a pathetic question and unworthy of a response.

No, by ‘live’ I meant in a stadium.

Fair enough. Have you, at City games? He really seems like a below average intelligence player, makes awful decisions on the park

Yes. I saw him play for Juve at the Etihad about 5 years ago. He was exceptional, and played in particular a sumptuous pass for the winning goal. I’ve also seen him play twice (IIRC) for the rags at the Etihad. On both occasions, even when they won in early 2018, he was a shadow of the player he was for Juve.

And, playing for Juve he seemed an extremely intelligent player, something I’ve thought since when watching France.

Maybe the rags give you a lobotomy when you sign for them.

Fair enough, I've never really been a fan but different views. I respect your opinion anyway.

Likewise.

But I maintain that as a club they do something to world class players that makes them play at a lower level.
Thanks.

Oh I definitely agree with that. Its just that for me pogba isn't the best example. Falcao, di Maria and sanchez are the best recent examples imo, although there are other reasons. Di Maria never wanted to be there, Falcao was coming off an acl injury, and the signs were there with sanchez being burnt out last 6 months at arsenal. It is funny though how they've all had a mini revival post united tho, lol.

He's had a lobotomy twice then ?
