Ahh okay, yeah fair enough.I think it was protocol rather than parliament and they are quite capable of trashing that.

ive only listed the top fruitcakes ...theres loads of nutters below themThe only conclusion I can possibly come up with is that the people of Essex are incredibly stupid. (lot of rags in Essex, so probably accurate)
That reads like a who's who of political crackpots.
Do they literally think this is true? REALLY?
You are significantly more hopeful than those who are actually having to implement this. The deal is a complete mess, as will become clear over the next few months. It didn't have to be this way, a sensible deal could have been put in place, but this is what happens when a man who hasn't even read it all is in charge of implementing it. Johnson doesn't care, he just wants his fans to think he's great, to the detriment of us all. It’s not great no but there’s a ton of hyperbole and yes these are teething problems, the ports will be sorted and in a few months things will be running very smoothly.
Let’s not forget the EU also want this to be more seamless.
a campaigning masterstroke from Bailey - he is the best campaigning tool Sadiq Khan has.......and yes the tool pun was intended

Loving the ides that the Gammons Party has a candidate called Mr Ukip, who'd have thought.
And out of touch with most of the rest of the country anyway. As if London was going to vote any other way?
They’re one of about 3 places that voted Labour in 2019.
Scottish Tories are few and bar between. Thankfully. The Scottish Conservatives have become a parody party that are constantly left red faced by their Westminster counterparts. Scottish Labour are all but a memory and the Tories will soon follow. Even the traditional Conservative regions of Aberdeenshire and the Borders their influence has ebbed away after over a decade of extremely poor management, corruption and anti-indy propaganda.Just a crazy idea but you might find it more enlightening to ask them rather than just insult them. However angry you might be.
The tories promised to occupy the centre ground, Labour wanted to go back to the 1970s left. To win and retain power in this country you need to occupy the centre ground at least that’s been the case for the last 4 decades.
Despite the horror stories you’ve read and been told Tory voters by and large don’t want hungry kids, or corruption, they want an equitable benefits system where people like @Ifwecouldjust....... are actually properly taken care of, nor do they want a privatised NHS. They hate racism as much as the next person and don’t mind immigration either. Surprisingly not dissimilar to most Labour voters. What they don’t like is big government they tend to believe that the individual is king or queen and big government creates dependency of the individual on state. They believe the individual is better at spending money (and spreading wealth amongst the many) rather than government.
You’ll find them on Facebook complaining about “benefit scroungers” generally not because they hate the needy but because they will see people who can contribute to the system not doing so. They believe in the system and a principle of “those that can, do, and those that can’t are supported”.
They’re really not the enemy, make friends with one today #adopt-a-tory.

321 Tory MP's voted against feeding hungry children. 6 voted in favour. That is the reality of voting Tory. You can go on about the wealth of the individual all you want, but when multi million MP's vote to starve children to keep their donors profits excessive then you become the issue. When they (Alastair Burt) purposely sabotage private members bills to keep Tory Pharma donors supplying NHS patent free drugs at premium prices, that to me is a corrupt, criminal act. When you watch the NHS slowly become hamstringed by consultant firms and excessive real time cuts, again, you become the problem.
Technicalities aside, it comes to the same result. Kids starving. You have seen the pictures doing the rounds of what should be a £30 food parcel. At the end of the day, they knew what the result of the vote would ultimately come to and Marcus Rashford had to step in to shame then into a u-turn. If I was involved in politics I would be absolutely ashamed to align myself with a party like that.I may be wrong here but they didn’t actually vote to let kids go hungry. As I understand it they voted not to extend free school meals over half term because they had given funding to local councils to provide it during this time and give schools a “break”. The councils have seemingly spent that money on something else (undoubtedly worthwhile so I won’t criticise them for it). Now where they have really fucked up is having funding coming from here there and everywhere. Why get your voucher/parcel from here except for this week where it’s coming from there. What a total PR disaster, they should have actually thought how this would play out and of course it will stick with many because their already programmed response is that the tories are heartless cunts.
I’d need to look into the pharma one, I dare say there are some connections that are questionable. It’s almost not enough these days to not be corrupt, you’ve got to be beyond question. The hypocrisy amongst politicians of all hues is difficult to swallow.

In fairness, 6 Tory MPs voted for it - 6. 321 against. Every single MP of every single other party voted for common decency. You can't defend such a vote when there is literally billions being handed out in un-tendered contracts to Tory chum companies 2 weeks old. Until some form of culpability is added into Westminster politics then this will only worsen with this current government. As for the NHS corruption related to Pharma, do a little research on Tory connections. Obviously you wont read this in a Murdoch paper, and yes I am referencing a pro-indy source, but you can take from it what you wish to research for yourself. https://www.thenational.scot/news/18255016.revealed-links-conservatives-private-healthcare/. Some of Tories should be behind bars.
Well it started with the Tory propaganda attack on the voucher scheme. Claiming that the vouchers were somehow going to (and I quote Ben Bradley) 'Crack dens and brothels'. The fucking Chidren's minister, who should be the single most person spearheading their welfare said parents can't be trusted as they would spent it on alcohol and drugs...you can't buy those with a voucher. Its total lies, which she knows. Fucking vermin. So technically they are feeding the kids but they’re still let them starve?
Hyperbole aside surely you can see the contradiction in that? They have completely fucked up the delivery of these funds and should be roundly criticised for that but I guess it’s easier to have headlines like “tories vote to starve kids” (I guess we will see pictures of starving kids at some point in them papers?) rather than “tories funding for feeding kids during half term is confusing for local government and schools”
I will take a look at the pharma, thanks for the link
Some of us are a tad upset that clowns like you defend a govt that has presided over nearly 90,000 deaths, spunked millions on things that don't work for their pals benefit and then aim..yeh it's not their fault though!Ranting about Corbyn at 2:26am.
It's not even privatising it, because the voucher money was already going to private companies, just not private companies that would then owe government officials a favour afterwards (or perhaps ones owned by friends and associates of government officials). There's no cushy non-executive director's job to be had by giving out vouchers that can be spent at any supermarket. It is a clear and refined strategy to privatise yet another section of welfare.

It is a clear and refined strategy to privatise yet another section of welfare. Its not councils getting confused by beauracracy like they are making out. Its Tories putting corporate agendas of their donors before that of vulnerable children. I'm sure you wouldn't have to look too deep to connect the dots.
Corruption at it's finest. Classic Tory Britain.

Still, so long as they didn't meet anyone from Hama's it's all good....
The Labour party advocated free broadband. Imagine how far that would have gone to help poor kids with their school work.I think it was more about buying booze and fags at supermarkets but I do agree with you on the principle. I have said earlier in the thread in overall scheme of things it’s a load of old bollocks. If I have £40 in my pocket plus my £30 voucher and I want a bottle of wine with my food shop who the fuck are the government to stop me? It’s embarrassing for the poor parents at the till being treated like second class citizens. Personally I think they should just pay the money in the bank and be done with it.
For me what everyone should be focusing on is the lack of equipment and facilities for some kids to access school for the best part of the last year. It’s a national disgrace. The tech companies could have provided old stock or cheap returb tablets (in return for some tax breaks or whatever) and people could donate old ones (like they did with pans in WW2) and the internet companies should provide free access between 8am-8pm for those who need it (and the kit to access it if need be). This will cost the country a lot more in the long run. This crisis demanded, and the public deserved, a national response not this political bollocks it has descended into.
