Dias has come close a few times now - can only be a matter of time before he heads home a corner or free-kick, surely ?

Mind you, I probably thought the same about Stones when he signed & it took him 94 league games !
That header at goal that lead to Stone’s second was a bullet.

Any news on how fucked their squad is?
Pretty much everyone of note available:
Villa posted this on their Twitter earlier today ...

And then one of the poster from Villa Talk forum has this post citing the above tweet:

Looks like nearly everyone key is in training

And another one posted this:

From those pics...

?????

Cash konsa mings targett

Doug mcginn

????? Barkley grealish

Watkins

Thats a great return under the circumstances

And this is what their manager had to say for City at his presser today:

A win is a must to keep the pressure on the rest. A clean sheet will be a huge bonus and a confidence boost.
We could make this 6 wins in a row!
2-1

9 wins in a row ...

Crystal Palace
Brighton
Birmingham (FA Cup)
United (LC SF)
Chelsea
Newcastle
Arsenal (LC QF)
Southampton

I know you probably meant 6 in the league ... but when the run has included wins against Arsenal and United in the cup and both away, just can’t discount them ...

I thought that was a thing of the past in the premier league with all the new pitches.
I don't remember the last time I saw a game cancelled due to a waterlogged pitch.
Plus, even if the drainage isn't up to it, can't they drag a tarp over it before it starts pissing down?
I seem to remember a champions league game at the Etihad being postponed around 4/5 years ago due to the rain. Pretty sure it was rearranged for the evening after.

Gladbach, that was the roads around the ground and safety of supporters not the pitch though. Weather was great when we finally arrived half hour before kick-off for it to be cancelled.

"It is understood the stadium safety officer decided the torrential thunderstorms around Etihad Stadium meant the area was unfit for the game to take place.

No supporters this time around though.

Having re-watched the League Cup from last year recently I wouldnt mind if he put Foden on the right - he murdered them from out there. Sterling was on the left and we could go with Jesus up front. They were shit scared of us until they had to throw everything at us last 5 - 10 minutes. They only had a sniff because Johnny Stones had fallen over and gifted them an equaliser. Still it took a worldy save to win it for us without ET.

John Stones didn’t gift them an equaliser we were 2-0 up when he tripped over.

Besides we were good for the win, should of been 4-2 if we had taken our chances.
