What's the formation then eh?
Lools like 4-4-2. Could be 4-1-3-2 or 4-6-0 or 4-1-2-3 or, if Walker & Cancelo push up all the time, a 2-3-2-3.

I'm bored!

Shows how far Villa have seemed to come this season that we’re even the remotely bit fussed they have a full strength team out!

How many games have we lost to the weather since we moved to the council house? Precious few, I'm guessing. Half a dozen, maybe? I recall a CL game getting called off a few seasons back. And they said that the pitch was perfectly playable at the scheduled final whistle.
But was it playable at the scheduled starting whistle? Perhaps the game could have kicked off at midnight. Postponements these days normally centre around Health and Safety issues rather than the pitch being unplayable. Considering the amount of attention and money spent on the playing surface one would only expect a match to be called off in exceptional circumstances.

It's going to be tough.

Villa have their strongest possible side out after 2 weeks off.

The weather is shite and they'll be bang up for it. Come on City!!

this is a very good shout and villa will be quick out of the blocks. but having little game time in the legs will catch up with you after 25 minutes and you start to blow and hope for half time ?

the weather is shit heavy rain. the pitch will be heavy and may cut up ? plus it did not look that good in the last game and lets hope they have enough the pitch forks

Villa at home on a wet night with the ball zipping around.

Anything less than 4-0 will be a disappointment.

The only thing to not like about that team is taking one of our best creators off his best side (Cancelo). Walker was so rusty in the last match but as long as he plays better we’ll be fine. Would have preferred Zinchenko but we certainly have enough to win if we play good.
Hopefully having Joao on the left means Walker sits in with Stones & Dias, he did look rusty going forward in the last match so sitting in and concentrating on the defensive side will help him play his way back in, at least if Phil operates from the left we have the option to go on the outside as well, which also allows our left sided overload to perform better (referee allowing)

I think a lot depends on who is up front out of Bernardo, Sterling, or Foden. Either way, I assume your final guess might not be far off. Walker and Rodri will probably alternate who drops into the centre of defence depending on where play currently is.
