The same agency staged a supporter sitting in the Etihad wearing a replica shirt with "Ronaldo"" and the number "7" on the back
And there's no comeback on them for it, so they'll carry on doing shit like that!
To be honest though it's not just footy news, papers have been editing photos for years... and photoshop's only made it easier.
There was an article I read years ago in Creative Review about photo manipulation in journalism... one example was as simple as a woman called Dawn Griffiths has her baby stolen from the hospital back in the 1990's – luckily her daughter was returned to her safe and well, but the photo take of her was edited so that she was appearing to hold the baby closer to her than she actually was... a subtle change to provoke emotion.
Similarly, around the same time a picture of a rioters fighting police on a housing estate was edited to make the two sides look closer together... the sad thing is that most people don't even realise they do this sort of stuff, even though they know the technology exists.

The quotes are laughable, even before someone on here spotted a sign locating the bridge miles from anywhere so a safe spot for the Cavendish Press scumbags to set up this stunt without being spotted.

That's the one I reported at the time – the bridge was actually Southern entrance to Scout Tunnel on the Huddersfield Canal, near Mossley.

Quaver lip must be suffering from sleepless nights. Also his big knicker partner parading around the media posting images of her in Bridget Jones' outsizes must be doing the thick fucker' swede in.

Camelgob can fuck off with his biased ounfounded stupid claims. Is there not a drug test looking for you? Wobbly liped reptile.

He was dead serious when he pronounced ‘bruno’ better than KDB . Apparently the stats prove it.
No they dont you wobbly lipped wanker, the stats show ‘bruno’ in a VERY favourable light

He can’t help himself , apparently we’re grinding out boring 1-0 wins whilst eulogising how good penandes is , you can’t make it up anything to please the red plastic masses

Lots of gushing from Silly Sally earlier this time about Leicester ('can they do it again') just because they are top for a while and because they ain't City. No mention of tonight's matches.st
If we do hit the top you can bet there will be less coverage of that than the British Broadcasting Corporation gave earlier to the meaningless report that there is a female umpire appointed in some American sport.
Then Sally gushes more than the River Calder on flood alert about Leicester in the headlines at 0800.l sense a 'stop City at all costs movement' will soon begin.
So they reverted to normal in time. They’re like a referee giving us a penalty at 4-0 up saying you get penalties. They’re saying we preview your game but only at a time insomniacs like me watch!

We'll have to agree to disagree.

How could he say we did not break the rules? We didn't know on here for sure. We hoped and had great faith in the detail unearthed and pieced together by the likes of PB and projectriver BUT we couldn't say for sure. Projectriver had us at a 70-80% chance of winning the appeal.

How do you know he didn't speak to the club?
How do you know he WAS CONVINCED we had broken the rules? Point me to something if that was the case.

We didn't know what the FULL case and weight of arguments against us was until the 93 page judgement was published.
There was a quote from Samuel to the effect that we were bang to rights, but i have no hope of finding it at the mo.
Had he talked to the club, he would have found out so much more and would have written on it. For example, City confirmed early on to PB no less that Ceferin had offered a deal. Samuel would have had to write about this if he knew and it would have alerted him to the fact that Uefa were wobbly. So, i cant be absolutely certain he didnt talk to City, but it is a reasonable inference from his silence.
Similarly, projectriver, a high powered lawyer and CEO, was open and approachable, and wrote and podcasted extensively. None of his arguments appeared in Samuels column.
My bet is that Martin was kicking himself when the verdict was announced. There was an exclusive, just going begging.
When all is said and done MS is still the only journo to have consistently attacked ffp and the G14 and we should be grateful for that. Cheers.
