All valid points. Yes we are on a great run but a few of those games could of ended up like the West Brom result. The margin for error is minimal.

If Jesus could score a few more goal now and in the immediate future we will be able to control games and close them out without having matches were “it’s going to be one of those nights” which last night could have been.

In short: Jesus needs to score goals.
I get what you mean but we've had many games like that with Aguero, Tevez, Dzeko, and the rest too. Jesus scoring early goals would 100% be beneficial but I have faith in this team to win these tight games and thus that issue doesn't really bother me.

Il quote you on that when we next drop points due to our main striker not putting the ball in the net.

He can be both but right now he is not contributing goals.
In fairness we're going to go in circles.

My only interest is that we win games. I don't care if every single goal comes from Stones scoring from Zinchenko crosses, as long as we win games. Right now we're winning games, rather comfortably, so I'm at ease with a young player returning from coronavirus taking his time to get back on the goal trail and add to his excellent record if we keep this up. Which I believe we can.

You understandably believe the striker above all else is there to score, and as Jesus is not scoring at a high rate it's worth calling into question. We're at an impasse here.

Feel free to. It wouldn't change my opinion. Go back in time to all the match threads we dropped points with Aguero or Dzeko starting and not scoring and quote me there too.

Pep has said countless times that he needs to score

Pep also said this which you conveniently forget -

"He will do it soon.Because I see him every day. And I love him so much. What he's able to do is one of the reasons why we concede few goals, and few chances is thanks exclusively to him.

"Without him we would concede more chances. And sometimes I give credit to the other ones. Of course he wants to score goals and he will do it.

I want his goals but his contribution is as the best striker in the world doing something that [not] any other striker can do for the team."

Where are the goals ?

On their way according to Pep.

These are facts - He has an absolutely brilliant goalscoring record in the league when he gets to start, one of the best in history, and Guardiola is on record saying he is one of the reasons we concede so few goals, the best striker in the world at other parts of the game so even if he doesn't score, he's contributing in a way Aguero doesn't when he's not scoring.

Lol, me winning the lottery is on the way

I'd love to know where this is all going?

What's your point? What do you want to happen?

You just bombard the thread with shitty, sarcastic replies and ignoring everything other people say to shriek "HE"S NOT GOOD ENOUGH WHERE ARE THE GOALS WHERE ARE THE GOALS?" every single day...what's the end game here?

That's the same nonsense that Liverpool spout about Firmino to justify his existence. Jesus is no different to him - A player who started well, but is no longer living up to expectations and is living off the odd goal.

Like Firmino, PL defenders simply aren't worried by or about Jesus. He's got a big heart, but lacks any real presence

I don't care if they are afraid of him or not. He scores goals when he starts and we win games with him in the side.

And Iheanacho didn't?

Jesus underperformed his xG last season by 7 last season also missing 21 big chances, the most in the league. That's the issue. Understand the numbers in context. The fact we're targeting a striker is every indication that we don't see Jesus as capable of leading the line for a sustained period of time.

We buying a striker because Aguero is 33, his contract is about to run out, he's been injured since July and hasn't scored a league goal in year.

We're targeted an elite striker to be starting week in and week out because we know Jesus cannot. We are absolutely not targeting a deputy. Lukaku, Kane, Haaland etc whoever signs will be our main striker.
