Retaining a title isn’t for everyone

That 2018/19 title win with 98 points and Liverpool right up our arse the whole way to the line, and then adding the two cups to be first team to do the domestic treble, really hasn’t been spoken about enough
This deserves a billion likes.
Stones and Diaz are winning it for us this year, which will be 5 premier league titles in 10 years + all the cups!!!!
Treble winners!100 points!! Milions of goals!!!
F... the dippers.

Well, Dyche didn't invade Poland.

I thought that after the way they have played over the last 2 seasons it would eventually blow up in their face. 2 years of high intensity win win football, playing the same 11 is not sustainable. Plus add to that the best defender getting injured (not the 1st team to have that issue) hasn’t helped.

Apparently to be considered a great team you have to win back to back premier leagues..

I read and heard that regularly a short while ago through all forms of the media..

Only been done once in the last decade too by some team that also clean swept all the domestic trophies in the same season, a feat never achieved previously in the history of English football..

Hard to believe but the team in question received little praise which was overwhelmingly outweighed by ridicule, jealousy and envy.

Can't remember their name I'm afraid as there wasn't much of a mention of them in the media at the time..

Think they had a blueish, white kit, not many fans, small time club and bought their success from what I remember being constantly told..

They sound horrible to be honest..!

Anyway, the dippers however were lauded as world-beaters for claiming the title in a stop start, weekly rule change, VAR assisted, 3 month break season..

This after bailing out of all the cup competitions, like all great sides do, to concentrate on playing one game a week..

To be honest you wouldn't be far off the mark to say the dippers aren't really that special.

Bingo appears to have one style of play which looks like it's been rumbled, the Egyptian diver wants away, Dick van Dyke will be 30 by the time his knee gets better and there will be no guarantee he'll be the player he was..

Their best midfielder is running his contract down and will be fcuking off to Barcelona in the summer too..

In conclusion, you wouldn't be wrong to label them 'one hit wonders', a team to be filed under Blackburn and Leicester, certainly not to be confused with 'a great team' such as that team who won 7 out of 8 domestic trophies over a 2 season period..

What the fcuk were they called ?

This getting old is a bastard, I just can't remember who the fcuk they are..!
