Well played Cheltenham: a low block, not a bad amount of skill and a goal to put a wry smile on your face. Naturally, they began to time waste and I sense they lost their rhythm. Some wise substitions, a sense of urgency and some clinical finishing and its Swansea in the next round. Pep out!!

Fair play to Cheltenham, they could teach some premier league teams we play a thing or two about showing ambition. On the whole we deserved it, and if we'd taken our early chances the game would be different. A bunch of players should have been well up for this to earn back their place as starters, and not one outside of Foden made a case for themselves. The subs did their jobs and were made at the right time.

Some will crticize Pep for that starting team selection.

But come on..............our fringe players should be doing much better than they are.

Mendy looks every bit like a Guy that won a competition to play for us.What postion was he actually playing tonight ?,he was all over the show, zero situational awraeness. He is getting worse.

Sulky performance by one or two others, who played like they felt afronted at being asked to play.

Phil was exceptional again.

Gundog and Dias were calming influences and changed the game.

Gundog might be taking up KDB postion for the next few weeks.Him hitting seriously good form is a plus, because KDB will be missed.

Thank fuck we rectified it. :-)

When you are behind with not long to go it’s a bit phew but we brought some additional experience and quality on and turned it round. Shouldn’t have had to as we had some good chances and the truth is all they had as a threat was that long throw, which is hard to defend and did pay off for them. Credit to Cheltenham for being organised and making it hard for us.

Lots of positives from tonight. Gabby has got a goal, game time for fringe players, Foden’s performance and no reported injuries so far.

Always a tough gig when kids, fringe players, without much game time are thrown in and obviously the side lacks a bit rhythm, particularly on a poor pitch.

Most important thing was the result, giving the first team players a rest, which was achieved. Not every game is going to be won in a canter, with sublime performances, some fans need to realise that.

Thought playing without a RB was almost our undoing. I thought Lack of width & the normal quality of Walker or Cancelo, was a bit of a problem for the majority of the game, but fair do’s to Cheltenham, thought they played well.
