This result was well on the cards for them as anyone without red tinted specs probably saw coming. Anyone who holds back and keeps shape can cause them an issue as they don't have it in them to really break that down. Rashford, Martial and Greenwood are a serious weakness for them. Greenwood may kick on but not to sure myself, the other two have been like this since forever, that is, ineffective and anonymous.
They have no bench, Van Der Beek i thought would be a big boost for them but so far has been no better than what they already have. Pogba is more often than not ineffective and their back line seems to panic to often. They have been living in a false position recently with today exemplifying most of these weaknesses why.
Rashford and Martial are not starters for anyone with title aspirations or even close, neither would look out of place at West Brom. Martial because he is lazy and wastful and Rashford who is lazy and shit. They are not proative players who make runs and force play, drag their team out of any ruts or anything like that. On the counter both expect the ball to feet whilst rarely, very rarely making runs. When your front line is almost static it is hardly going to spur you on to get that ball to them.
They are incapable of properly dictating games, leaving it largely to the hope other teams mess up. They are as far away from doing that now as they have been the last 8 or so years.
If Fernandez had someone like Jesus in front of him they would cause trouble for teams struggling imo, enough to give utd fans some genuine jump out your seat goals per season. Fernandez is only an "ok" player but his energy would buzz of Jesus movement and energy. He has nothing like that currently besides Cavani who has never been the most nimble even when he was i lively kid. He still however puts Rashford and Martial to shame for movement and effort.
Oh yeah, Arse and Chelsea going to absolute shite helped them look better in the table to.
Long post, i'll shut up now.
