On my way out of the vaccination centre this morning the exit door was manned by our local Tory councillor and as I approached he launched into action, grabbed the handle and deftly pulled the door open and, unlike some other local politicos, he didn't close it whilst I was only halfway through. Always vote Tory at local level - he's a nice guy. Mind, I think I wouldn't vote to put him in Westminster. I'm more of a Screaming Lord Sutch supporter at parliamentary constituency level.
 
I owned a house in Ruddington for about 18 months, from 2003 to 2004, and my MP was Ken Clarke. I think I’d have voted for him in the 2005 GE if I’d kept the house, partly because his politics are significantly in step with my own, but also because he was a superb constituency MP, even when he was a minister.

I think that’s about as close as it gets to me ever voting Tory.
 
I think a lot of people just go along with how their parents voted and never actually think for themselves, I was brought up in a strong labour household and basically had it drummed into me from an early age (12+) that all Tories were cunts. This was on the back of Thatchers reign and I accepted this as I trusted my Dad and never questioned it.
It's only as I got older and started to look at things myself i order to form my own opinions. It was at this point when I realised he was right all along :)

Perhaps Liverpool fan worried about dropping more points tonight?
 
I live in a Labour safe seat (they held it by <100 votes I believe) so my vote was nullified

Regardless of having Steptoe at the wheel I could never have voted for a Labour Party who didn’t even have the ability to explain their stance on Brexit , were they going to push for a 2nd referendum? All I heard was “we’ll agree a good deal with the EU”... They must have thought they were twinned with David fucking Copperfield if they actually thought it was that easy...

The election was a binary choice between shit and shitter.. I’d say that shit won, pretty convincingly

Not all Tories are cunts. Without them there’d be no Manchester City Football Club.

Well also people tend to end up in the same social class as their parents, so obviously it makes sense to vote the same as they did.

There was a question on QI a while ago, "What is sold in every newsagents that makes you right wing?" The answer was a lottery ticket. People get a bit of money and they suddenly decide they'd prefer a lower tax economy.
