Really crap performance against bottom of the league but it's 3 points and you have to do that from time to time. Will be a game forgotten very quickly. Hopefully just an off game and not any signal of our reliance on cancelo to get us attacking. Hopefully no injuries, few players took some heavy challenges and move on to midweek now.

Keep ticking away the wins, I don’t care how we get them. Just need to beat Burnley now and that will be this run of so called easier games out the way with.

That is a fucking HUGE win. Cancelo, Stones, Rodri and Sterling all rested and we won whilst exerting the minimum energy we possibly could to win it. People will moan because it wasn’t 3,4 or 5 nil. But that is a team selection, result and energy-efficient performance that gives us the very best chance of still being highly competitive in every competition by the end of our tough February. The season is long, and days like today are necessary every now and then.
