Remember when... it was us...intrested in Peter Beardsley,Dailian Atkinson Nigel Clough,George Weah,Denis Law,Robbie Fowler,
....Buying a over the hill player on the way down is evidence of Madness..or panic reaction to a plan that's gone wrong.
It rarely works out well
You should hav added Macpointalot to that list.

Yes I was thinking of that. The worst examples were Nigel Clough and McManaman. The two laziest parasites I ever saw at City. You hear Mcpointalot on the TV now lecturing players about pressing and closing people down. His lack of workrate and effort was a disgrace. I give Fowler a free pass because he had been crocked...and for his goal against United and the way he celebrated it.

Cant think of many if any ex Liverpool players who have done the business for City. Maybe Steve McMahon whose legs had gone and who was way past it but at least got stuck in for a season or two. Anelka was only on loan so doesn’t really count. Gidman never played for them.
Remember Mark Seagraves? Absolutely terrible. Beardsley long past it.

as much as i dislike United, in Fernandes they found a very good midfielder. Without him they are average to poor, with him they flirt around average with his goals to drag them through to wins.

i have no idea how they sit second after 21 games, I guess it's the slightly pot luck nature of the first third/half of the season that has seen no team play consistently until City started to at Christmas.

when you reach about 26 games, another instinct kicks in as you begin to see the finish line. If they're still hanging about after 26 games, they'll be a fecking nuisance, if they drop off in the next 5 they'll fight to finish 4th
They are average with Fernández

The match delegate for Manchester United's 2-1 loss to Sheffield United said the hosts were on the wrong end of two key decisions, manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer revealed on Monday.

why Have the match delegates come out with this. Why have they not come out with stuff about the Rags blatant cheating. The paperboy is now saying it hurt momentum and its hurt their title challenge but why the fuck can no one in the media bring up the almost weekly wrong decisions they have gained points, Chelsea, Brighton, WBA, Villa etc etc

And why haven’t match delegates' reports been released for other games?

It's the Ushited way, I suppose.

When the Rags have a shit result why is there always a diversionary headline , BBC are the main culprits , there are so many Rag sychophants employed by the paedo protectors that it appears criticism of the football teams insipid performances are swept under the carpet in an instant.
F*ck the Rags and their BBC PR machine.
Long may this media strategy continue JGB.

As long as the media brush these poor performances under the carpet the longer their mistakes will continue.

Look what happened when the media focused on our issues:

"Aging team" - now dealt with

"Defence can be got at" - now dealt with

The rags will never be criticised by the media to the extent we are. What this means to personalities like the paper boy and players like Pogba, Rashford et al is they can buy into the hype and ignore the elephant in the room.

Where were these match delegates when they got a penalty after the full time whistle at Brighton?

So true , if the media go overboard for their continued under achievement , they will never be a threat , the Rags have always believed their own headlines

I actually think the sycophantic coverage of United coupled with the hostility towards City has helped us this past decade. It has lulled them into a false sense of security and our players have been inspired by a determination to hit back at our critics.

To be fair he us factually correct, the match delegate didn't say the decisions were wrong, just that they didn't (for once) go in the Rags favour. It is superbly twisted by Olly making it sound as if they were robbed....... Like Villa and West Brom were against us.
