About 36 hours since I got the Pfizer jab, no real side effects to talk about. A little tenderness at the injection site is all that is left, arm felt a little sore for the first 24 hours. That's about it. I'm a male in the 35-40 years old category. Some of my colleagues have said they felt worse after the second one, I'll let you know in 20 days how it felt.

I hope so too but I'm still unsure how members of his family can be with him if he has the virus.
Maybe they are with him in the sense of the word, behind a screen/window, or maybe they are in full PPE etc, either way it doesn't look good.

The clinical studies reported worse effects dose 2 for Pfizer, dose 1 for AZ, if I recall correctly.

Chimes with my experiences personally. My missus' mum fine first dose, second dose felt shite for 48 hours (then immediately fine). Another friend (young careworker) felt rough as fuck post AZ first dose.

according to the MS foundation page, your vitals are currently fine although your pulse seems a little elevated at the moment but we’ll put that down to that website your currently looking at. You’ll be fine mate will keep checking whilst you kip...

The Telegraph are reporting that over 65s will be able to book appointments at the start of next week.

God that's encouraging. 95% of my anxieties re this whole thing have been around my parents. My dad's 61 and not really in great shape tbh, mum turns 60 at the end of March. To think that a few weeks from now they could be vaccinated... man, makes me feel emotional! Just hope they don't pick it up before then. Fingers crossed.

hang on IN there mate. Less cases means less chance they have of getting and that vaccine will be in their arms before you know it!

Anecdotally, for those in the NHS front line, those who previously had the virus tend to get absolutely hammered with the first jab no matter the vaccine type.

Half of Moscow apparently has Covid. We won’t be far behind in Manchester In my opinion.

What's the vaccine roll-out situation on IoM?

already on it mate! I think at last count over 3000 people has had it? Island population is around 90,000 ish but elderly and vulnerable people first on the list? I think we get around 1% per time of the vaccine when the UK gets it but hopefully going forward they expect to be doing more as more vaccines are made at a faster rate.

Think British Airways offered him a free flight at the time when there was an open gateway to travel. It all seems a bit odd.
If I was 100 and still fit enough to enjoy it I would have been happy to get a freeby to Barbados. You take every chance you have at that age because it won't come round again. I admire him for having the guts to do it. We don't know where he caught Covid in any event but it must have been later than Christmas.
