General Videogame Thread

Whilst rooting round an old hard drive I found my old championship manager 01-02 saves. The game itself is free to download legally now, btw.

It's the version with the famous To Madeira and Maxim Tsigalko, and city start with the likes of Charvet, Ritchie and Nash.

I'd saved last pre season 05 with us having won the lot. Funny how we used to have to just dream of that kind of thing! I'd just signed Stevie G and Mido on Bosmans, had a front 3 of anelka, Luca Toni and Defoe, backed up by Aimar and playing a short passing game. Doing it before Pep ;)

That's my week sorted anyway. You can keep your £30 FM 21 database update!

those were the days. My dad used to always sign Zamora and Brett Ormerod and get relegated. I got promoted and then when on to dominate just by signing legends on free transfers when their contracts expired.

Apparently it can be 3-6 months, although some have expiration dates listed on them. Does PS Now have a companion phone app, might be something similar to the Xbox game pass version that sends notifications about titles leaving soon.

I got Hitman 3 day after release and blitzed it a bit, but there is still loads of content in the levels left to explore. Seen a video of split banana skin traps being used to cause accident death, found a sniper spot team in one level that you can trick into killing a target. I like the fact that some of the levels build on the heritage of locations in Hitman contacts, the China level, the English country estate, and the huge Vineyard taking some inspiration from blood money.

Anybody who has the Hitman HD pack (Silent assassin, Contacts and blood money) on 360 can play it through backwards compatibility on xbox one or series consoles.
Ah, I'll check the dates thing before getting into anything - ta

Re: Hitman 2, it was my first foray into the game. It's so well designed, I might end up just buying it now. Which I guess serves the PS Now purpose for Sony.

You can get the levels from 1 within 2 if you already own 1. Worth checking out if the upgrade pass is available on sale.

Finished Cyberglitch on Monday. Decent game but some bugs are severe, especially on boss fights. 6/10 great graphics but a bit of a mess all be told.

Was ok on PC, a couple of glitches, the worst being unable to move the car when i first got in it which made me mental thinking i was doing something wrong. Reboot of the game sorted it though. Graphics were great on my setup but i had it on ultra with RTX on as well.

I played it on PC too with a 2070 super. Got some real game breaking bugs. Bosses just stood there after half their energy depleted. It's an enjoyable game no doubt, but a bit of a letdown!

Got that free as well but not played it yet. Started Jedi Fallen Order and it's hard as nails

Tip for Fallen Order. Put it down a level of difficulty. I've completed games like the Last of Us on the hardest setting, so it's not a 'get good' scenario... i just think Fallen Order is a bit unfair tbh. I found it incredibly tiring dying by some bollocks out of my control and having to rerun through loads and loads constantly. So much more palatable and enjoyable down a setting!

Yeah. I put it on story mode which is easy and it was easy so I put it back up and it was challenging. Think I'll just plough through it on story. The cut scenes and acting are very good tho, next level stuff. It helps when you have Monaghan as the lead. Great actor and comes across like that

Thanks for this by the way - you put it up a few weeks ago and I took advantage of it. The difficulty levels are really weird and the boss battles are just ridiculous - either impossible at higher levels or stupidly easy. Whole game was ok, not great.

I played the first one a while back (also on a free :D) and didn't really like it tbh, it was just a bit meh. But this one is really good, it feel's like a GTA with some hacking involved. Obviously not as big and *do anything you want* as GTA, but still good nonetheless.

I think the latest patch introduced some bigger game breaking glitches, but now you mention it i do remember bosses just standing around for a bit and one really annoying glitch where someone was stuck in a wall and it wouldn't let me get past the level because of it. I played it on GFN, so not sure they have installed and synched out the patches to the servers and i've not played it since i completed the second ending.

Yeah id agree with this. I got quite far through it and never completed it as I think I got distracted by something like TLOU2, but my missus did. She said it was very 5/10 (with 5 being average, not bad, not great) as a game, but obviously the Star Wars link made it feel more fun at least so probably a 6! Nowt wrong with a decent game though every now and then.

From what I've read Sony are struggling with a shortage of microchips from suppliers. Apparently they should be able to meet demand by June.

Picked up Yakuza Like A Dragon for £20 on series X.

Fantastic game. Combat is turn based now which take a bit of getting used to but the story is great and even though the map is small there's a ton of stuff to do. Love going into the Sega Arcade and playing Outrun and Space Harrier.

Some of the side missions are absolutely bonkers but brilliant and there is some real laugh out loud moments

Every morning I do Just Dance on the Switch with my 8 year old for her daily exercise, 45 mins of jumping round the living room at 51 I can tell you I have zero rythymn, however its a blast and Im getting rather good lol. However the south east asian kids are on another level! We compete online against the rest of world, great fun.

So suppose you don’t play games like dark souls or Nioh they are fantastic games but very unforgiving.

Google the difficulty of Fallen Order. It's up there with Bloodborne and Dark Souls. I finished Bloodborne, amazing game
