It’s here.

what about the 2 rounds of the league cup liverpool played the kids ? plus the 2 game city played after liverpool got knockout and city had to play weekend midweek weekend since december

ok the covid-19 thing hit the city camp and missed some game time ? but i think that nothing to do with the form liverpool have been in this season. maybe liverpool and klopp have pushed the players over the limit in the past 3 years and now its catching up on them

That they have problems at CB doesn't mean that we have to be gung ho. Think Liverpool made that mistake last season when they saw us starting with Garcia at CB and decided to attack us relentlessly. And we won 4:0.

We should be patient, tire them down, and beat them in the 2nd half. They'll be dead on their legs in the last 15 minutes or so, since they've rotated much less than us over the last few weeks.
Think Fabinho and Kazak will play CB with Henderson going back into midfield.

City: Ederson, Cancelo, Stones, Dias, Laporte?, Rodri, Bernardo, Gundogan, Sterling, Mahrez/Jesus, Foden.

Liverpool: Alisson, TAA, Fabinho, Kazak, Robertson, Thiago, Wijnaldum, Henderson, Salah, Firmino, Mané.

We need to get through the first 30 mins and not be 3-0 down for a change! Then grow into the game and hopefully have a strong 2nd half. Basically what we did when Mahrez missed the penalty, but actually score this time :)

Klopp seems rattled with that more rest comment.

Anyway:
1) Players wouldn't choose covid over football, putting their health and families at risk.
2) We had a 1 week 'break' which is pretty standard across the season. We then went to Chelsea missing various 1st team players and still won.
3) We're still in the League Cup, so there's more breaks for Liverpool.
4) We're still in the FA Cup, so there's more breaks for Liverpool.
5) He played 1st team starters vs Villa's U18's, daft.
6) Jota got injured in a game where they'd already made the Champions League knockouts.

So Herr Klopp, you're talking shite.

I wonder if anyone's kept a list of how many players have missed games for both City and Liverpool due to injuries and COVID - I reckon we've probably been as badly affected, if not worse than them.

They've done very well to win a couple of trophies with such a small squad. They don't really have the strength in depth that clubs like us, Bayern, Madrid, Juve & PSG have and that's why they're falling off the edge of a cliff now that they've lost a couple of defenders.

I'm not normally so bothered about his fake news quotes, but this "two weeks" break has pissed me off.
So i've just checked and they had a "weeks" break just days earlier. He needs calling out about this.

They played Crystal Palace on Dec 19th
Then WBA on Dec 27th = 8 days

We played Newcastle Dec 26th
Then Chelsea Jan 3rd = 8 days

Do one you fuckin dickhead...

Its probably exactly what he wants, he's trying to ruffle our feathers. Ignore goofy fuck faced **** and we focus on whats served us so well for the last 2 months.

Kloppsy escape hatch is ready.I think he used all of his out of jail cards like strong wind, snow, fire and now covid etc etc
Turned into peg in no time.

Pep Guardiola on #LIVMCI: "The game is to win and three points. It's not how may games and centuries and so on. It's another game in the #PL 38 games and so on.

Pep Guardiola on the importance of #LIVMCI in the title race: "I don't make predictions - I don't know. I don't know about my team so imagine about the other teams. 60 days ago we were 12th, now we are first. I'm not more than concerned about the Liverpool game

Jurgen Klopp: "We haven't had a break, #ManCity had two weeks for Covid reasons. It's a tough year..." [via @ptgorst]

Pep Guardiola: "I didn't expect that comment. Maybe it was a misunderstanding. If he sees the calendar he will see it was not two weeks, it was two months

Pep Guardiola: "We had Covid, we had one week, we played with 14 players at Stamford Bridge. Maybe I'm wrong and it was two or three week. Tomorrow when I see Jurgen, I will ask him how long we had off. I'm surprised, I thought Jurgen was not that kind of manager

PEP [emoji187] The reason why we won a lot of titles is because everyone is important. We cannot get big prizes with just 12/13 players. When teams win they drop, but we are still there that’s because we have many good players. But we miss Sergio and Kevin and Nathan - so come back asap.

Such a dig at Klopp treating his best players as carthorses and then acting shocked at the injuries.

Hopefully that goofy twat will do our team talk for Pep. Keep chatting shite Jurgy.

Most of our visits to Anfield under Pep have seen us change our setup slightly. It’s only really worked 2 seasons ago when we were a missed penalty from a perfect result. The rest of them remind me of the Mike Tyson quote about everyone having a plan until they get punched in the face. It seems as City’s plan works until they concede an early goal.

Last season, in 2018 (twice) and in Pep’s first season we conceded early and really struggled from there on. It would be nice to go in front at Anfield as we haven’t had a lead there since the League Cup match in 2012. It would be great to get in front and see how Liverpool deal with it.

Ultimately I’m a little concerned by all the talk of us getting a win on Sunday, despite our recent excellence. Something about Anfield seems to bring the worst out of our players.

Hopefully we’ll put the hoodoo to bed on Sunday but given how desperately Liverpool need to win and the fact they should have a few players back I wouldn’t be surprised if they beat us again.

City:
December, 8 games in 26 days
January, 9 games in 29 days
Total: 17 games in 55 days
W14 D3 L0

Liverpool:

December, 8 games in 30 days
January, 7 games in 28 days
Total: 15 games 58 days
W7 D5 L3

So over December and January we have played two more games than Liverpool in a span of three fewer days.
Also it has to be mentioned that they had an FA Cup tie at home to what was essentially Aston Villa’s youth team.
This after playing almost three weeks later into the summer but only being afforded one week later to start this season.
Some two-week break, that...
