Again, that doesn’t back up your assertion that “the majority of people who voted Tory in 2019 were working class” as far as I can tell?

You’re just being silly now.“Those stupid working class fuckers, why don’t they vote the way we want?”
But you have claimed we are.
If you didn’t have an answer why are you saying it?
Do you think you’re more likely to make us vote for Labour next time?
because at the moment I fucking won’t be.
You keep using quotation marks on things I haven’t said?Have you read the thread? “Misled”
Do you not think that is an accusation on intelligence?
Well i actually voted LibDem but anyway...i am saying it because i think its true, i think you have been misled
how you were persuaded to follow that untruth i dont know, as i said it doesnt seem to be down to intelligence
i dont think me pointing out the truth is likely to make you vote labour next time, you seem very invested in your position (and possibly a little bit angry, although i might be reading meaning where there isnt any)
however truth is truth and just because you dont find it persuasive doesnt mean i shouldnt speak the truth in a discussion
That’s why I asked if you had read the thread. The poster on the previous page said working class Tory supporters were “misled”.You keep using quotation marks on things I haven’t said?
Have you read the thread? “Misled”

I know it was you, I am asking Ric’s opinion on it.it was me that used the term misled not ric and i have pointed out twice already that being misled does not imply stupidity.
i will now do so again for the third time i am not implying working class people who vote tory are thick or stupid.
why they have believed untruths i do not know. if i did know i would do something about it.
as i dont know all i can do is keep repeating the truth that i see
Again, that doesn’t back up your assertion that “the majority of people who voted Tory in 2019 were working class” as far as I can tell?
- The Conservatives are now more popular with people on low incomes than high incomes. Labour is as popular with the wealthy as with those on low incomes.
I haven’t read the thread, but I still don’t understand the relevance of what you’re saying in response to me disputing your assertion that “the majority of people who voted Tory in 2019 were working class”. I’m pretty sceptical about that claim, that’s all. That’s why I asked if you had read the thread. The poster on the previous page said working class Labour supporters were “misled”.
Do you or do you not think that’s an accusation on their ability to think for themselves ?
I have just replied with that, please have a look.I haven’t read the thread, but I still don’t understand the relevance of what you’re saying in response to me disputing your assertion that “the majority of people who voted Tory in 2019 were working class”. I’m pretty sceptical about that claim, that’s all.
Well i actually voted LibDem but anyway...
The fucking irony of you claiming that against me with your posts, you cannot simply take the fact people disagree with you, it’s laughable.
Believe me, you are a part of the reason Labour is doomed.
Yes, just seen that. Still genuinely don’t think that backs up your point though.I have just replied with that, please have a look.
I know exactly why you did, you think you’re doing the right thing and I totally respect that.there is no irony involved, i know that i too am very invested in my position.
i do accept that people disagree with, i happen to think that they are led to that position by believing untruths or are misled as i previously posted.
you imply that you accept that people disagree with you. how do you think those people (inlcuding me) reached their positions?
I know it was you, I am asking Ric’s opinion on it.
Being misled means you don’t know what you’re doing and someone else is changing your thoughts. In fact it means “deceived”.
You stating that is, by definition, an accusation they don’t know what they are doing and you know better.
The study literally says those on lower incomes support the Tories more than those on higher.Yes, just seen that. Still genuinely don’t think that backs up your point though.
What percentage of the UK are working class? 35-40% maybe? Even if it was higher, it’s still surely categorically untrue to say that the majority of Tory voters are working class?
Yes it does, it means those who vote Labour have avoided being deceived and those that voted Tory couldn’t.if someone is deceived it does not imply low intelligence (or being a thicko as you put it earlier in the thread). Almost everyone is deceived at some point in their lives.
if you have been deceived it just means someone has tricked you, that is all. It says nothing about your intelligence.
I know exactly why you did, you think you’re doing the right thing and I totally respect that.
10 years ago I was a Trotskyist but I was a kid and I now look at that time and think I was silly. At the time I was engaged in Utopianism and thought the rich deserved to have their wealth stolen.
Now I realise life isn’t always straight forward and capitalism is the best of two bad ideas, we just need to look after those that get left behind whilst continuing with capitalism.
I know why you think what you do, on paper it’s a cracking idea. The workers own the means of production and dictate what happens with the business? Sign me up... however in reality it has never worked but for a minority of industries.
Have you ever considered that conservatives think they are doing what’s best for everyone too?
Well I think you are wrong, life is full of opinions.i would say the majority of conservatives do think they are doing whats best for everyone. i happen to think they have all been misled. Thats the problem.
