how you were persuaded to follow that untruth i dont know, as i said it doesnt seem to be down to intelligence
i dont think me pointing out the truth is likely to make you vote labour next time, you seem very invested in your position (and possibly a little bit angry, although i might be reading meaning where there isnt any)
however truth is truth and just because you dont find it persuasive doesnt mean i shouldnt speak the truth in a discussion

it was me that used the term misled not ric and i have pointed out twice already that being misled does not imply stupidity.

Being misled means you don’t know what you’re doing and someone else is changing your thoughts. In fact it means “deceived”.
You stating that is, by definition, an accusation they don’t know what they are doing and you know better.

there is no irony involved, i know that i too am very invested in my position.
i do accept that people disagree with, i happen to think that they are led to that position by believing untruths or are misled as i previously posted.

What percentage of the UK are working class? 35-40% maybe? Even if it was higher, it’s still surely categorically untrue to say that the majority of Tory voters are working class?

10 years ago I was a Trotskyist but I was a kid and I now look at that time and think I was silly. At the time I was engaged in Utopianism and thought the rich deserved to have their wealth stolen.
Now I realise life isn’t always straight forward and capitalism is the best of two bad ideas, we just need to look after those that get left behind whilst continuing with capitalism.
I know why you think what you do, on paper it’s a cracking idea. The workers own the means of production and dictate what happens with the business? Sign me up... however in reality it has never worked but for a minority of industries.

if someone is deceived it does not imply low intelligence (or being a thicko as you put it earlier in the thread). Almost everyone is deceived at some point in their lives.

Working class is a loose term, I will give you that but with more of the working class voting Tory than not doing and the Tory voting base being lower than higher income, I think we can be almost certain of my claim.

i would say the majority of conservatives do think they are doing whats best for everyone. i happen to think they have all been misled. Thats the problem.
Well I think you are wrong, life is full of opinions.
The difference is my side of the argument seem to accept your view whilst your side, not necessarily meaning you specifically, won’t accept mine as a legitimate view... without horrid accusations being levelled.
My view is let the best man win at the ballot and may the loser accept the result.
