No crowd, no buses to smash up, no dancing on cop cars.
The last time I can remember beating the Dippers was an Anelka goal,
in 2003, it's now time to break this record.
And if we do, I can't wait to see the kipper on the bloke who's had a baby
grand piano fitted into his gob.

Think this is from the embargoed part of the pre-match press conference. First question is - will there be an asterisk on who ever wins the title ? I remember previously there was discussion of how great it is to be champions this year as teams have struggled more than in a normal season due to Covid. Now, that City are likely to win it, the narrative has to change.

Bring it on.
It will just fire Pep up even more.
We really should thank the media for the nonsense that spout at City.

Ederson
Walker Stones Dias Cancelo
Rodri
Bernardo Gundogan
Mahrez Foden Jesus

I like Jesus on the wing in this one for his ability to run at TAA and put a huge shift in on him and Salah. Like Madrid, he could snuff out that entire flank. Foden F9 dropping into midfield to relieve pressure and confuse the makeshift cbs. Mahrez>Sterling for me in this one because if there’s one thing we know about him is that he doesn’t lose confidence and he likes to take on the fullback. Mahrez and Jesus running at Robertson and TAA will give them a lot to think about. 2-0 City, Jesus & Rodri

"F9"

Please stop.

Yeah but when you have loads of Arab oil money you can just buy Covid off.

Team talk is settled already:

Win today and you go 5 points clear with a game in hand.

Be interesting to see the table after the Everton game, at that point we will have played same amount of games as everyone else.
If we can get 6 points from next three games we would have a minimum 5 point lead and Leicester play liverpool in that period as well!

Or 10 points clear of the dippers with a game in hand, lets go on to beat them by more than 18 points

As long as we win the title, it doesn't really matter whether we finish 1 point (season 18/19) or 25 pts (season 17/18) above them. It's likely that in April/May we will play in other competitions too. So the PL title is enough, whether on 78 or 98 pts.

The United result means we are not under pressure to win today. Which hopefully means we are going to win.

I'm sure Pep would be blamed if we failed to win for many seem to perceive Liverpool as poor now. But they'll likely be close to full strength apart from VVD, and it's football, nothing is certain. No tactics guarantees success over a single game. Luck and other things play their role. Let's see what happens.

Just fucking wow. Which one of the UKs finest was it that asked that stupid question? Sounded like it was a juvenile prank to get the word asterisk into a sentence, so I’m guessing it came from the WhatsApp group?

The UK media are a fantastic parody who should be ridiculed, but they really don’t need to be as they ridicule themselves on such a frequent basis. This weeks instalment is 2 week break & an asterisk as we’re playing Liverpool.

Do we have Arsenal next week? If we do it will be a parody about City, sports washing & dirty oil money. They are getting more ridiculous as the weeks go by :)

Bollocks,go for the throat. If the players have that weak attitude they are setting themselves up to fail.

I don't think they will for the reason above
Agreed. While a draw wouldn't be a disaster by any means, today represents an enormous opportunity to both end the Klanfield hoodoo and make a statement. Hope the lads take their shooting boots with them to Miseryside.
