There is a big push, especially by local councils in the upcoming elections.

Labour have also been waging a capaign to members, affiliates and the general public to register and vote by post to reduce risk from Covid.

So in May if you do vote will you go down the postal route?

No, it's the easiest way to implement fraud, the only valid reasons for it
is absentee votes. If you can't be arsed to get round the corner to a polling
booth, don't bother.
It's interesting, but not surprising, to see Labour pushing for it.

Most councils.are pushing it, be it labour, lib, con or green.

It is being pushed because of Covid, not some conspiracy to rig elections

The Tories have far more postal voters, and have been collecting filled in application forms and delivering them in bulk to councils for this new situation. Labour campaigners are told not to handle completed applications, so as to avoid any suspicion of fraud.

There might not be a polling station round the corner. A new variant, staff unwilling to sit in polling stations and/or handle ballot papers that may well have the virus on, no way to scrutinise the count as normal (eight people round a table).

We'd be having all-postal elections if the Tories didn't know it would benefit the opposition.

Mine is round the corner from me so I’ll just walk there.

The situation with Covid should be much better in May anyway but we’ll have to wait and see.

Why not? There is no additional virtue in the way you vote. You don’t get brownie points for going to a polling site.
It's something Labour want, but unfortunately what they want doesn't need scrutiny, or discussion because they won't get it.
Covid excepted, of course.

Cobblers is more fitting.
Absentee, disabled, etc;, no problem, why do you want it rolled out for everyone?

errrrrrr- a certain pandemic may influence peoples intentions - you can't go to a match, you can't go swimming at the baths, you can't go to a gym but you must be forced to attend a polling station shoulder to shoulder? I think you may have had a wee sip of Trumps KoolAid
